He has good size (6'3") and strength. He played as a right tackle last season. He showed a good ability to run block all season. He is excellent at both down-blocking defensive linemen and combo blocking them. Then, as a defensive tackle, he was good as a nose tackle. Offensive linemen struggled to move him off the ball. Playing on both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, he showcased good skills last season for West Allegheny. As a defensive tackle, he showed a good 1st step. He gets off the ball quickly. This allows him to be disruptive against opposing offenses. He demonstrates good strength, as he can effectively shed the blocks of offensive linemen. He also splits a double team at a high rate. Then, as an offensive lineman, he shows a good ability to dominate defensive linemen. His ability to fire off the ball and attack offensive linemen is impressive. He has good strength as he is hard to move off the ball. He also does a good job of splitting double-team blocks against offensive linemen. He also shows a good motor to chase plays all over the field. Robinson has excellent potential and should be a stock riser and ranked by Prep Redzone. Watching his film from week one, you see a talented player who has a bright future. He gets off the ball quickly, thanks to his quick first step. He also shows good strength as an offensive lineman, who struggled to block. In his limited film, you also saw him have a good motor as he chased plays all over the field. Cortner should come back and be better than ever next year. He is a good athlete who is learning how to play as an edge defender. He explodes off the ball well and uses his speed to be disruptive against offensive tackles. The one area he does need to improve is his use of hands. He needs to be able to use his hands to hold the edge against offensive tackles—that and improve at running around offensive tackles as well. Still, the talent and skill are there for McIntyre to improve. I also love how he is wrestling now. That is a great sport for football players.
