2028 Rankings Update- Who Are Alabama's Top 5 Prospects?

We have released our new 2028 Rankings Update!   With that, we've got to check out our new Top 5!   You won't want to miss out on the talent in this class! Be sure to check out these prospects' film below:    [player_tooltip player_id='1075805' first='Demarcus' last='Dale Brown'] is an incredibly talented DL from Williamson who's coming in as our #1 player in this update.   “Brown is a star in the making. He has great size and plays with tons of speed, leverage, and strength to work around offensive linemen and create huge stops in the backfield. Brown is an every-down threat who dominates the run and can rush the passer really well.   Brown is extremely disruptive. He explodes off the snap, can fight off multiple blockers, and has the motor to make some incredible hustle plays. His pursuit and closing speed are super impressive to watch- it's super difficult for offensive lines to contain him.“   Brown was unstoppable this season. He ended the year with 95 total tackles (36 for loss), 15 sacks, 19 hurries, and 3 PBUs.   Over the last two years, Brown has established himself as a national recruit, picking up offers from powerhouses all over the nation.   If you haven't watched him before, be sure to check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1634478' first='Keoni' last='Snipes'] is a talented EDGE from Saraland who's our #2 player in the state this update.   “At 6'5 230, Snipes already has impressive size and athleticism that he uses to dominate the line of scrimmage. Snipes explodes off the snap and plays with great leverage, quickness, and pursuit to create huge stops all over the field- it's hard to believe he's only a freshman.   Snipes has already proven to be a dominant run defender. He's terrific at setting the edge and can fight off multiple blockers to get his hands on the ball carrier and create some impressive hustle plays all over the backfield.”   Snipes is another national recruit in the 2028 class that'll only keep garnering attention over the next two years.   Be sure to check out some of Snipes film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1621006' first='Dedrick' last='Kimbrough'] is an explosive WR from Thompson who's our #3 player in the class this update.   “Kimbrough is a complete WR with an incredible skill set as an underclassman- he has great size, electric speed, and an incredibly reliable set of hands he uses to make highlight-reel catches all over the field.   I'm really impressed with Kimbrough's route running and body control- he gains tons of separation at every level of the field and can haul in ridiculous catches through coverage/contact. Any ball is catchable for a guy like Kimbrough- he has a terrific catch radius, great body control, and strong hands he uses to secure passes in some impressive ways.“   Kimbrough has picked up offers from top programs all over the nation, and I think that'll only continue here in 2026.   Check out some of his clips below, you'll be impressed:      [player_tooltip player_id='1354216' first='Kingston' last='Preyear'] is a talented passer out of Benjamin Russell who's coming in as our #4 player in the state this update.   “Preyear has unreal arm talent and can place the ball anywhere on the field- he has a strong arm, can throw with a lot of touch and accuracy, and hits his targets perfectly in stride downfield. Preyear is also terrific at navigating the pocket- he's elusive and doesn't let pressure get to him, can extend plays and make throws on the run, and is great at avoiding sacks.   Another impressive part of Preyear's game is his mobility- he can create huge plays with his legs. On tape, he frequently carved up defenses for big gains off of zone reads and just by scrambling, he's a seriously dynamic QB who can truly beat you in every way.“   Preyear has picked up a lot of collegiate interest through his first two years as a starter.   I think he has a huge year ahead of him this upcoming fall. Be sure to watch out for him!      [player_tooltip player_id='1621009' first='Nehemiah' last='McCary'] is an explosive RB from Maplesville who's coming in as our #5 player in the class this update.   “At 6'3 200, McCary has great size, contact balance, and breakaway speed in the open field that helps him consistently create explosive plays on the ground. With his size, McCary is a hard guy to tackle. He's great at lowering his shoulder and trucking through defenders and has contact balance he uses to always stay on his feet.   One of the things that makes McCary especially dangerous on the ground is his elusiveness- he can straight up run through your face, but can also make you miss with how quick he is on his feet. McCary has even made plays on defense; he's an athletic player with tons of potential wherever he lines up.“   McCary has everyone in the country interested in him right now, and I think that'll only keep growing. He's a talented player with a bright future ahead.
