1A Corners and Safeties Setting the Tone on Defense

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season over, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. He reads the quarterback well, anticipates routes, and shows the ability to make plays both in coverage and near the line of scrimmage. His tackling is clean and disciplined, with strong leverage in run support.   Analysis: Harris projects as a high-level coverage safety who can impact multiple areas of the defense. His instincts and ball-hawking ability stand out, and adding elite top-end speed or aggressive range could elevate him to a true playmaker at the next level.   Alexander Lee – WR/CB, Impact Christian Academy Height/Weight: 5'11”, 170 lbs Season Stats: 28 tackles, 7 interceptions (12 GP)   Scouting Report: Lee is a versatile athlete who excels both as a defensive back and a receiver. On defense, he has quick reaction time, strong ball skills, and anticipates the quarterback's eyes. His agility allows him to mirror receivers effectively in man coverage.   Analysis: Lee projects as a multi-position contributor with upside in both secondary coverage and slot/receiver work. Adding functional strength and refining transition speed will enhance his playmaking, but his instincts and hands are already a notable asset.   Craighan Mitchell – CB/WR, Southwest Florida Christian Height/Weight: 5'8”, 150 lbs Season Stats: 17 tackles, 6 interceptions (11 GP)   Scouting Report: Mitchell is a quick, shifty corner with a nose for the football. His agility and anticipation allow him to make plays on the ball, and he's capable of creating turnovers.
