Wednesday Wrap Up- 5 Talented 2028s Moving Up Our Lists

We're back with a new Wednesday Wrap Up!   Today, we're watching 5 2028 prospects who have really impressed us the last few weeks.   You won't want to miss out on these guys moving forward, so do yourself a favor and check out their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1142889' first='Quinton' last='Johnson Jr.'] is a talented WR from Pleasant Grove who produced a lot for them out wide last season.   "Johnson is a talented WR/KR who thrives off his speed and acceleration. As soon as the ball hits his hands, you can count on him changing and his direction and using his speed to turn upfield for huge plays. He's such a dangerous threat after the catch; his speed allows him to completely separate from every defender on the field.   Obviously, with his speed, Johnson is an impressive deep threat. He runs gos, posts, and other deeper routes to perfection- consistently leaving defenders in the dust to create explosive plays downfield. Look out for this dude next year, he's got a ton of impressive traits."   Johnson was constantly reliable last season, bringing in 42 receptions for 548 yards and 3 TDs on the year.   If you've not watched Johnson before, be sure to check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2101019' first='Gunner' last='Gibbs'] is a talented QB from Pike Road who's coming off his first full year as a starter in the 6A.   "Gibbs does a fantastic job protecting the ball and consistently helps lead Pike Road to successful drives when he's on the field. He's efficient, decisive, and quickly makes good decisions with his passes- constantly hitting open targets all over the field.   I'm also a fan of Gibbs' arm talent. He does a great job putting passes only where his receivers can make a play on it, leading and hitting them in perfect stride to avoid any issues from defenders. I think Gibbs is in for a big season next fall. We're going to have to keep track of him."   Gibbs had a successful year, completing 145/221 attempts for 1912 yards and 22 TDs on the year.   I'm excited for Gibbs junior season. He's a talented passer with a bright future ahead- make sure you check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1732049' first='Richard' last='Scott'] is a talented playmaker out of UMS Wright who made a ton of plays on the ground and through the air last season.   "Scott is an incredibly versatile back who can line up and produce on any play. He has great speed, vision, and contact balance as a runner, and a reliable set of hands he uses to consistently haul in passes all over the field. When you combine that with his physicality, it makes him a dangerous addition in the backfield.   I think what really separates Scott as a pass catcher is how explosive he is. It doesn't matter if it's a screen or a checkdown, he's going to use his speed and burst to turn upfield and get the first down. I'm really excited to watch him this next season. He's a really complete RB already as a sophomore.   Scott was super productive last season, recording 110 carries for 466 yards and 2 TDs on the ground and another 62 receptions for 543 yards and 4 TDs through the air.   I'm really excited to watch Scott next fall. He's a versatile playmaker who has a ton of potential in UMS Wright's offense. Be sure to check out his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2101033' first='Owen' last='Randall'] is a talented sophomore safety from Moody who made a ton of big plays in his team's state title run last fall.   "Randall is a tall and rangy safety who can fly around the field to cause havoc against any passing game in the state. He's quick on his feet, has impressive sideline-to-sideline speed, and dominant ball skills/hands he uses to consistently break up and pick off passes.   Dare I say it, Randall might be one of the best coverage defenders in the state. He's a ball hawk who has terrific instincts and impressive closing speed that he uses to stay with any pass catcher he lines up against. His ability to break on passes is next level- I can't wait to see him in his junior season."   Randall was super productive last fall, recording 97 total tackles (3 for loss), 5 INTs (one returned for TD), and 10 PBUs on the year.   I've become a big fan of Randall's. He's a reliable member of Moody's secondary who is only going to keep getting better. We all need to look out for him next fall. You'll see what I mean below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1718744' first='Myles' last='Hankins'] is a talented LB from Daphne who was really productive on his team's defense last fall.   "Hankins is a versatile LB who can rush the passer, defend the run, and provide solid coverage over the middle of the field. I'm really impressed with Hankins' blitzing ability. He's quick off the snap, has violent hands, and can completely overwhelm offensive linemen to create pressure or take down the quarterback.   Hankins is just as good at defending the run. He flies downhill, fills in gaps, and consistently meets the ballcarrier at or behind the line of scrimmage to create stops for little to no gain. I'm super impressed with his tackling- he gets low, wraps up, and can dish out some huge hits as well. Hankins is another defender I think we can expect a ton from next season- he's got a ton of talent."   Hankins had a huge sophomore season for Daphne- recording 88 total tackles (9 for loss), and 4 sacks on the year.   I was really impressed with Hankins' tape.
