Sometimes when it comes to weather, especially in the state of Florida, there is simply no predicting when and where rain will fall.

On Sunday – with one of the best group of student/athletes we have ever had for a Stock Up event – rain and wind cut short what should have been a banner day in Winter Park (outside of Orlando).

With parents and fans on hand watching what should have been Prep Redzone's banner event in a state that continues to roll out top-flight talent.

While the coaches, players, supporters and media were in place, unfortunately the event had to be postponed.

While the rain eventually stopped, the field conditions were not conducive for the athletes to perform, and while this was easily the best and most gifted gathering that we have brought in for the past six years, a future date to bring everyone back will be set.

But even though we didn't have the chance to watch the student/athletes perform, we did have the pleasure of talking with athletes and their parents who have watched Prep Redzone Florida become the leading recruiting website and social media in the Sunshine State.

Having the opportunity to talk with the prospects that we promote and rank daily was indeed a thrill – and while the weather did dictate this day – it didn't dampen the enthusiasm that was brought from as far away as Pennsylvania, Alabama, New York and throughout Florida.

“We had the opportunity to talk with players and parents who totally understood that safety was first,” said Drew Johnson, who had worked so hard to bring in the most talent ever at a Stock Up event. “They understood that we wanted so much to have this event. But when we have another solid date during a busy off-season, they will be back.”

SHOUT OUT TO SOME OF THE PROSPECTS WHO CAME TO PERFORM.

There was no doubt that with all the elite talent that showed up, it was the quarterback position that had the chance to turn heads on this day.

While they didn't have the opportunity to perform, this is a position that has truly advanced throughout the state and is now on par with the rest of the country.

The quarterback position is truly on the rise, and with the 2025 season completed, and the off-season fully under way, we have had that chance to see the next wave of prospects, and they have not disappointed.

Among the quarterbacks that we are hoping that will return when we reschedule includes Class of 2027 standouts [player_tooltip player_id='2102781' first='Christian' last='Garrett'] (6'2, 205, Brooksville Nature Coast Tech), Mason Hall (6'1, 190, Coconut Creek Monarch), [player_tooltip player_id='1258721' first='Tre' last='Kelly'] (5'11, 195, Groveland South Lake), Cesar Ramirez (6'3, 210, Orlando University), [player_tooltip player_id='1600757' first='Mason' last='Summer'] (6'2, 200, Bradenton Manatee) and Mikal Shank Jr., (6'4, 194), who made his way from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Among the 2028 (rising juniors) who made their way to the central Florida area were [player_tooltip player_id='2044606' first='Blake' last='Anderson'] (6'0, 170, Bradenton IMG Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='2044614' first='Ryan' last='Browning'] (6'0, 183, Tampa Gaither), Noah Patton (6'3, 198, Bradenton IMG Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='1601258' first='Aizion' last='Sandy'] (6'0, 155, Cocoa Space Coast), Dominick Sgambellone III (6'1, 190, Naples The First Baptist Academy), who transferred in from the Syracuse, New York area.

Other quarterback hopefuls that we want to shine the spotlight on are Class of 2029 (rising sophomores) [player_tooltip player_id='2089742' first='Josiah' last='Carter'] (6'0, 180, Zephyrhills Christian), [player_tooltip player_id='1893092' first='Cassius' last='Enriquez'] (6'0, 190, Hallandale), [player_tooltip player_id='1659915' first='Kai' last='Goodling'] (5'10, 150, Winter Garden Foundation Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='1658865' first='Gavin' last='Pritzkau'] (6'0, 165, Winter Garden Central Florida Christian Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='2105160' first='Shore' last='Rawson'] (5'10, 150, Lakeland Christian), [player_tooltip player_id='1659488' first='Gianni' last='Rodriguez'] (5'11, 180, Altamonte Springs Lake Brantley) and [player_tooltip player_id='1958004' first='Maksim' last='Steuber'] (6'0, 190, Sunrise Piper). Young [player_tooltip player_id='2071255' first='Riley' last='Collins'] (6'0, 190, Lakeland Christian) and [player_tooltip player_id='1614405' first='Walker' last='Mottley'] (6'1, 185, Bradenton IMG Academy) were two players in the Class of 2030 were also ready to perform.
