Two weeks away from the NJ Who's Next event, it is time to zero in on the top running backs signed up for the camp. A lot of these RBs have balled out at PRZ Next camps in the past and continue to build an impressive reputation amongst scouts. A few others are new to the scene and are ready to compete at a high level. Get a sense of these backs so you know who to look out for the day of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591304' first='Malachi' last='Daniels'] is an electric playmaker whose presence on the field immediately shifts the momentum of any game. With the ability to reach the end zone any time the ball touches his hands, he combines quickness, agility, and open field explosiveness into a truly destructive package. His quick twitch ability allows him to stop, change direction, and accelerate on a dime, keeping defenders off balance and the play alive until the very last second. Watching him, it's clear the game isn't over while Malachi has the ball. As one of the 2031 prospects I'm most excited to see live, he shows the poise, athleticism, and skill set to compete at a high level even against the 2030 class.

Jeyden has been a running back I've been excited about throughout 2025, and his fall highlights only reinforced that enthusiasm. He flashes explosive acceleration, hitting holes with both speed and power, and consistently shows a keen sense of field awareness. Jeyden reads the flow of the defense instinctively, allowing him to navigate traffic with remarkable ease. His quick footwork gives him the ability to change direction on the fly, making him extremely difficult for defenders to catch once he's in the open field. Jeyden is a player that immediately grabs your attention any time he steps on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1476876' first='Malachi' last='Bredy'] is an 2030 athlete I had the privilege of watching live at the Jersey Shore tryouts. Immediately you could tell Malachi was a man amongst boys on the field that afternoon. Clearly ahead in his physical development, he displayed high school level size and a frame that set him apart from his peers that weekend. Despite his bruising build, he moves with surprising nimbleness, combining power and agility in a way few backs at his level can. Gritty and fearless, he welcomes contact and isn't afraid to deliver a blow of his own, making him a force in both the running game and as a linebacker on defense. With an offer from Syracuse already in hand, there's a lot to be excited about for this young stud as his career continues to unfold.

[player_tooltip player_id='1653746' first='Shamar' last='Maddrey Jr.'] was a standout the last time I saw him compete at a Who's Next event, easily ranking among the top talents on the field that afternoon. Clocking one of the fastest 40s of the day at 4.81 seconds, his speed complements the “silky-smooth” running style I've noted before. A natural, shifty runner, Shamar changes direction effortlessly while maintaining full acceleration, making him extremely difficult to contain in open space. His ability to manipulate defenders, forcing over commitments and creating missed tackles, will make him a nightmare in one on one matchups. Given his combination of speed, agility, and field awareness, I project him to be one of the MVPs of the camp.
