Evans is nothing short of impressive when you see his film. The 2027 Corner made an impact in Carl Albert's State Championship win last year with a pick 6 late in the game. Evans highlights include speed, technique, physicality, and an understanding of the game. He showcases his speed in track as one of the top 400m runners in the state. Evans doesn't just impact the defense, he is an exceptional returner in the kicking game as well. Evans has a knack for finding the football, his tenacity and willingness to make plays is why he is a player to watch in the 2026 season.

If old school physical DB's such as Kam Chancellor and Roy Williams interest you, then Nixon needs to be on your watchlist. The Moore Lions Safety is as physical as they come. The Lions will use him in their man-to-man scheme, but really like the way he can fit the run from 12 yards off the ball. Nixon flies around the field with reckless abandon and has been known to knock a few helmets off opponents. His speed and ability to find the ball allows him to play sideline to sideline. He's an exciting player to watch and will be more than effective for the Lions in the 2026 season.

On the surface Huffman's size may not look like much, but his athleticism makes up for it. At 5'7" 155lbs, Huffman is Putnam City's go to guy when they need a shut down Corner. The Pirates will also use him as a Safety, proving his versatility on the field. He can man you up, or bait you you into a zone throw. Huffman is as technical as they come. His footwork, physicality and speed are next level, pair that with his ability to play fearless and he becomes a player you need to know in 2026.

Nash can and will create turnovers. Against the Moore Lions this past season he recorded two interceptions. He also forces fumbles in the run game. This Physical DB can cover sideline to sideline making him a threat when throwing the ball deep. His violent run fit is what makes it difficult for opponents to hang on to the football. The Huskies had a good run last year making the playoffs in the 6A-1 division. Nash will be instrumental to their success heading into the 2026 season.

Wilson is another DB that can create turnovers. As a freshman, Wilson earned his way to Friday nights as a varsity starter for the Sabercats. In just his second game at the varsity level he began to force fumbles in the run game and make it difficult on QB's to throw down field. Wilson has speed and a stocky physical build. There is no shying away from contact. Wilson has the ability to play in run fit just as well as drop back into coverage. He makes plays all over the field and is a name that the metro area and state will soon know.

Templeton's big moment came in last season's 2A State Championship game when he had the game sealing interception against powerhouse Washington. This Sophomore has exceptional footwork and can cover in man or zone. Templeton plays smart, fundamental football. His 4.5 speed gives him the ability to cover deep and get out of his break quickly to make plays. Templeton's athleticism highlights his technique in flipping his hip and running with defenders. He's a true ball hawk and with two years left in his high school campaign, he is sure to make some noise in the upcoming season.
