2A 2027 Quarterbacks Doing Things the Right Way

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season over, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. He throws with solid velocity and shows consistent accuracy in the short-to-intermediate passing game. He does a good job protecting the football and making smart decisions, while also being capable of finishing drives with his legs when needed.   Analysis: Beery projects as a steady, efficient quarterback who fits well in a timing-based passing attack. Continued growth as a vertical passer and play extender will raise his ceiling, but his size, efficiency, and decision-making already provide a strong foundation.   Hayden Gay – Bozeman High Height/Weight: 5'9”, 155 lbs Season Stats: 1,611 passing yards, 83/150 (55.3%), 14 TDs, 4 INTs; 68 carries for 386 yards and 4 TDs   Scouting Report: Gay is an athletic quarterback who thrives when the play breaks down. He shows good quickness and acceleration as a runner and is comfortable throwing on the move. His arm strength is sufficient for short and intermediate throws, and he plays with confidence and toughness.   Analysis: Gay projects as a dual-threat quarterback best suited for spread and option-based concepts. Jaylin Brown – Pensacola Catholic Height/Weight: 6'1”, 180 lbs Season Stats: 1,534 passing yards, 103/175 (58.9%), 24 TDs, 6 INTs; 73 carries for 228 yards and 7 TDs   Scouting Report: Brown is a confident quarterback with good size and natural leadership qualities.
