2029 Rankings Release: QB

As we approach the 2026 high school football offseason, we are wrapping up our latest round of rankings update. To finish off the rankings update, we have a new class rankings release! Our debut Top 100 rankings for the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky has been officially posted. With these rankings being released, I will be taking the next couple weeks to break them down by position. To kick things off, here are our top quarterbacks in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky.    As a freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='1686543' first='Cole' last='Presswood'] sat behind a senior quarterback but when evaluating his film, he still stands out as the most talented player in the state in his class. In a backup role, Presswood completed 27/46 passes for 304 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. Cole has shown tremendous ball placement, putting his passes in a spot where only his intended receivers can catch them. He has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Presswood currently holds offers from Nicholls State, Eastern Kentucky, and Murray State, and I expect more to come his way over the next few years.     [player_tooltip player_id='1686505' first='Anthony' last='Davis'] took over as the starting quarterback for the Purples this season and was very impressive in his debut. In 12 games, Davis completed 142/219 passes for 1,971 yards, 21 touchdowns, and four interceptions in 12 games. Davis has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive mobility, using his legs to escape the pocket when needed then either make throws on the run or tuck the ball and pick up yards as a ball carrier. Davis scored one rushing touchdown as a freshman. Anthony should be an intriguing quarterback prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop moving forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='1884262' first='Eli' last='Jarrell'] burst onto the scene in impressive fashion as a freshman, completing 144/238 passes for 1,935 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 11 games. Jarrell puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, throwing them to a spot away from opposing defensive backs where his receivers can make easy catches. He also has a very strong arm which he uses to his advantage to make throws down the field. Jarrell was also very productive as a ball carrier as a freshman, finishing the year with 96 carries for 499 yards and 15 touchdowns. Eli will be a player worth keeping an eye on over the next few seasons.     [player_tooltip player_id='1772150' first='Eli' last='Carey'] is another 2029 quarterback who impressed in his first season of high school football, completing 143/268 passes for 2,048 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 10 games. Carey has an impressive quick release in accuracy, showing the ability to hit his receivers out of their breaks where they can make catches in stride. He also has the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Eli also ran the ball 52 times for 89 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman. Carey should be a player to pay close attention to as he continues to develop over the next three seasons.     To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1145692' first='Jayden' last='Guzman']. Guzman showed some promise as a freshman, completing 106/189 passes for 1,228 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions in 13 games. He has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when necessary while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Guzman has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight coverage where only his intended receivers can catch them. Jayden will continue to be an intriguing quarterback prospect to watch as he develops over the next few seasons.
