South Carolina has had some pretty good offensive linemen classes come through in recent years.

The next one is already establishing itself as another one.

From our top-ranked overall player being a center to the 17th-ranked player at the positional group, we're seeing every single one of them having a better-than-most opportunity to play at the next level. Yes, they have two more years to prove themselves, but that also means two more years to get even better.

For many of the linemen in this crop, that would really mean something special.

BREAKING DOWN THE TOP 5

[player_tooltip player_id='1840771' first='Darrenton' last='Jones'] Aiken

The Jackets' right tackle (pictured) quickly took his place near the top of our positional rankings for what he did on a one-on-one basis more often than not during the 2025 season. He's rangy in that he's got some length to him and move very well. Some of that is frame based, and if he maintains that as he continues to add weight, he's only going to improve his personal stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='1856920' first='Tae' last='Wylie'] South Pointe

Wylie was such a fast riser inside a stacked crop of offensive linemen inside the program that he earned and then held the starting left tackle job right on through South Pointe's dominant Class 4A state title run. What he's physically capable of at this age means he needs to be on every P4 college radar sooner rather than later. He's only going to keep getting better.

[player_tooltip player_id='1615022' first='Eli' last='Sanders'] Newberry

We've said this about a few others in older classes, but the fact that Sanders moves like he does while being as big as he is can only be considered a testament to just how athletic he is. He starts at left tackles for the Bulldogs, but he's anything but stagnant, often pulling to his right and blowing up anything in his path. He brings a ferocity to his role.

[player_tooltip player_id='1151291' first='Brody' last='Lorenzo'] Dutch Fork

We weren't sure how much more we could say about the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2028, but let's give this a shot: Lorenzo is a weight room freak who is charged with going up against some of the biggest and baddest defensive tackles this state has produced and he handles the task like a seasoned veteran. Two years as the Dutch Fork starter is only the next phases for him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1301043' first='Jeremiah' last='McGowan'] AC Flora

McGowan might not be the most polished linemen among the top five, but he's absolutely in the discussion. As the Falcons' right tackle this year, he was instrumental in the team's high-flying offense that averaged 38 points per game. He's got a massive body and his even bigger wing span suggests he's not done yet. He's getting P4 love for good reason.

NOTABLE NEW ADDITIONS

[player_tooltip player_id='1819174' first='Brennan' last='Hammond'] James Island

Hammond won't need to be the centerpoint of the Trojans' offense, despite the fact that he's going to be the team's starting center. What he will be charged with is helping a new quarterback get comfortable in a hurry. His own experience at the position will be vital to that. Hammond makes and already solid line better by holding down the middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821426' first='Larry' last='Gore'] Lake Marion

Speaking of centers, we're big proponents of what Gore has been able to start accomplishing in his two seasons as a starter. He's already put himself on some all-region and all-state lists by using his quick-fire capabilities to get off the snap. He's made the time from the ball being in his hand to engaging defenders looking almost instantaneous.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819125' first='Koda' last='Crocker'] Daniel

Crocker settled in quite nicely at right guard for the Lions. So far, he's greatest strength is in the run blocking schemes where he's able to get his 6-foot-3, 280-pound frame moving like a freight train. But what we also started to see near the end of the season was an increased ability to pull to his left and his success rate at standing up rushers in his pass blocking.

[player_tooltip player_id='1804680' first='Kevin' last='Sightler'] Swansea

Sightler is pulling double duty for the Tigers, occasionally stepping in on the defensive line, too. On the offensive side of the ball, though, Sightler established himself as a consistent force. He's not tall - chiming in at 5-foot-10 - but he's stocky and knows that when he goes lower, he's got even more of a leverage advantage. It's why he's able to drive defenders off the line.

FIVE LINEMEN PRIMED TO RISE

[player_tooltip player_id='1672844' first='Ian' last='Jones'] Woodruff

Jones has to be considered one of the biggest possible names to come out of the interior lineman portion of this class. The only thing that may prevent that is if he keep getting taller and moves to the tackle position. But we're already seeing a Division I interior lineman in the making with him. Few are going to win a hand fight against him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1818427' first='Jayden' last='Cunningham'] Greenwood

We more than lost count of the number of plays when Greenwood ball carriers were setting their sights on the big left guard and then either followed him through a hole or simply bounced off his hip. Cunningham is extremely active and plays in an offense where lateral movement is of the utmost importance to executing the play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1818409' first='Jasper' last='McIntyre'] Dillon

While he can still be described as a bit of a developmental project, McIntyre really isn't except for the fact that he wasn't yet a full-time starter for Dillon. But being north of 6-foot-4 with really good footwork and an established straight-ahead blocking skills mean he's not exactly starting from scratch. He'll have the starter role next fall and should be a standout in Class 2A immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id='1818507' first='Kemp' last='Tisdale'] Chapin

Tisdale and most of his teammates were often overlooked during the 2025 season since Chapin failed to win a game and lost most of them by large margins. But the left guard made his mark as a player to watch as the Eagles develop under the next coaching staff. His bend is strong and he has the matching strength to make sure it matters.
