2027’s Who Are Heating Up This Contact Period

Over the last nearly week, the contact period reopened after a brief hiatus. Coaches have been wandering the halls of high schools around the state, checking in on players and handing out offers. Today I take a look at 5 players who are seeing their recruiting processes heat up.

The big defensive lineman for the Firebirds really changed his body last offseason. Reilly (pictured above) was able to add good weight to his large frame while maintaining his athleticism and get off and it resulted in a huge junior season. This contact period he's been reaping the rewards in the form of offers from Vanderbilt, Minnesota, and Wisconsin that he adds to an already impressive list.

The big interior lineman from Gahanna Lincoln has had a strong week picking up Power 4 offers from Louisville, Kentucky, and Colorado. It feels like this is only the start for Burrell. He possesses not just the size and strength to play at the highest level but he's a violent finisher. I'd expect Matthias to continue to stack offers as this offseason continues.

Bolar is a versatile piece of a very strong Moeller offensive line unit. He can and will line up at tackle or guard. I like him as a guard at the next level. He shows off good feet and a strong upper body. He anchors well and his patient in his pass set. Miami, Toledo, and Pitt have all offered Alex during this contact period.

Purdue, Virginia, and Nebraska have all offered Aleu in the last 24 hours. When you watch his film it's easy to see why he's getting so much Power 4 attention. His bend and athleticism for his size are what set him apart from most offensive linemen. He's versatile enough that he could work in a gap or zone stretch scheme.

Rhodes is a versatile safety for the Lions. He has the ability to blanket receivers in man coverage and shows strong ball skills. In the run game he's explosive and downhill. Tank has picked up offers from both Buffalo and Ohio over the last week.
