2025 South Dakota Superlative Awards Week: Part 2

We will be diving into more all week!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Best 2028 Camp Season to Football Season Eval</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1602491' first='Braylon' last='Treasure'], WR, Sioux Falls O'Gorman</strong></em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I heard his name conistently from muliple sources all camp season and saw it for myself as [player_tooltip player_id='1602491' first='Braylon' last='Treasure'] was one of the best camp season 2028 evals I had in South Dakota. This young man has been on my radar since he was an 8th grader on the 7v7 circuit and even back than you could tell Braylon's athleticism was going to set a high bar heading into his high school career. What has he done with that? He's going to become my WR1 in the 2028 class here in the next handful of weeks as the camp consesus I got is there is not a better WR weapon in this state that wins the contested catches and boosts an excellent route-tree for his age as much as you see out of Braylon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Best Team Surprise</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Rapid City Central</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Cobblers were the best team Rapid City had to offer in the 2025 season in 11AAA and it's something that I saw over the summer at camps that told me that would be the case before the season started. Kick their team record aside, I don't think Rapid City Central has ever this strong of senior leadership paired with also this many prospects that you will see on Saturdays since we have been around the Dakotas. [player_tooltip player_id='848938' first='Weiland' last='Benbo'], [player_tooltip player_id='1422287' first='Henry' last='Hill'] (new South Dakota Mines commit), [player_tooltip player_id='1300016' first='Brayden' last='Jackson'], [player_tooltip player_id='848947' first='Easton' last='Graff'] (Dakota State commit), [player_tooltip player_id='2072579' first='Onzei' last='Weaver'], [player_tooltip player_id='2072543' first='Trajan' last='Weaver'] amongst others were their leaders on both sides of the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Favorite Undersized 2026 Workhorse</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='848977' first='Oakley' last='Anderson'], LB, Huron</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the last two years Oakley has had an absurd amount of tackles at the linebacker position and this season for the Huron Tigers, was their biggest one in recent years. The All-Stater in 11AA, logged 140 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, four sacks, and one interception. The 5'7 170 pounder has one NAIA offer and is one that on tape was a high flyer downhill to the ball that amped up his physicality a ton as a tackler in his stellar senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Best 2026 Steal</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Northwestern (IA) Landing RB1 [player_tooltip player_id='1112592' first='Josiah' last='Heinz'] of Harrisburg</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This one was almost a no brainer when I made this superlative selection. Josiah had landed his first D1 offer from Army the week before he committed and had a couple of NSIC offers under his belt as the only running back in the class I had a D1 grade on in the Dakotas. After the Black Knights made their offer, I thought that was going to be the move for Josiah, but man is this kid going to be a gamer at the NAIA level as one that brings the total package of skillsets you could want at the running back position.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
