Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase: Carolinas Standouts

Lots of talent at the Fort Mill, SC Stock Up Showcase. I saw some great linemen bodies on both sides of the ball as well as QBs will elite arm talent. Well over 100 players and multiple college coaches at the event. I enjoyed being on hand for coverage. There were lots of players to sort through, but these were some notable standouts who caught my eye.    Elite prospect with great explosion and wingspan. Getoff is fantastic. Does a great job of pressing lineman off him. Has physical and violent hands. On film sets the edge well, is rarely out of position. Shows great range and pursuit. Dynamic presence on defense, always recovers, teams rarely break contain. P4 prospect. Has body type and play style similar to Myles Garrett. Very strong with frame to add more weight. Is now 6'6 240. Taller kid, would want to see a little lower, but still has great power. Love combination of athleticism, body control, and range. Boasts offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Texas.     Alex is a dynamic presence at DE. He plugs gaps and is also a force off the edge. He shows great length, strong hands, and can set the edge. He is a straight dawg with a wrestling background. Coming off the edge, he shows strong/violent hands. His bull rush can knock a lineman off balance. His block destruction is impressive and violent. If you're a lineman, he's a handful, if you're a QB, he's a threat. He shows impressive range and pursuit. Can run and set the edge all day. Violent with contact power. Tackles and pursues well on special teams. Offer from Coastal Carolina, but expect more with camps this summer. Love his energy, violence, football IQ, and coachability.     Looked great in person. Throws ball with power, torque, and touch. Very receiver friendly pass, spins it, soft touch. Accurate on multiple levels, especially deep ball. Can make a lot of throws, has good sense of timing, throws kids open. More of a pocket passer, but can throw on the move and off balance. Does a great job of footwork and manipulating the pocket. Keeps head downfield and goes through progressions. His line drive passes on go routes really stand out. Can also throw with accuracy and touch on comeback and underneath routes. In a QB friendly system, clean pocket, but dominates defenses. Well coached team and system. Went 8-4 as first year starter, 1900 yards passing/66%/19 TDs/6 Ints/225 yards rushing. Can devour a defense in right system. Look for him to start picking up FCS/G5 offers this summer. P4 potential.     Dynamic player coming out of the backfield. Saw him at both You Are Athlete camp and PRZ Carolina Showcase. No doubt a dynamic playmaker who catches your eye. Believe he is more marketable as an ATH than RB, due to size and versatility. As a RB, he shows great burst, physicality, contact balance. He is a north/south runner, but is always looking to break outside at second level. He is very Christian McCaffreyish in terms of play style. He does a great job of churning legs after contact, as well as cutting. Everything about him is dynamic and big play oriented. He also returns punts for TDs. Was regularly cooking DBs as a WR at You Are Athlete camp, and appears to have good hands. Pound for pound, probably one of the best players in South Carolina. Believe he may be more marketable as an ATH than true RB because of size. Well worth tracking and worthy of legit D2 interest. Young player, want to see how tall he gets. Not far off of D3/D2 offers and potentially higher upside. Will likely receive offers this summer.     The sophomore had a strong showing at Carolina Showcase. He went head to head against good competition, but still showed the tools to be a D1 OT. The athleticism, size, frame, and technique stand out. He's still figuring out football and how to win matchups, but believe he will get there. On film, you would want to see him be more violent at the point of attack in run blocking. That being said, he is a wide body who gets butt to the hole and walls off defender. Also, you would want to see him get out of his stance quicker in pass pro. However, the multi sport athlete shows enough tools to call him a D1 prospect. He looked good in pass pro on Sunday. His athleticism, technique, and size are blending together nicely. I like his control, discipline, thought process, and progression at the position. The attributes and intelligence are there. The aggression is there, he's just figuring out what his body is capable of. Like how me moves to, shows enough quickness and agility. Look for more FCS/G5 offers this summer and next fall. Currently has Charlotte offer.     Great film in pass pro, does a great job moving his feet. Not overly physical in run blocking, but finesses kids, gets butt to the hole, and does a good job getting to 2nd level. Does a great job with hand placement and separation. Everything about him is technical. Moves feet, anchors down and stops bull rush. Has been well coached at HS level. Taller kid and a bit upright, but shows athleticism and moves well. Shows ability to block in space. Wouldn't call him a dawg, but a big body with athleticism and fundamentals. Wish he had a little more girth, but could add 20-25 more lbs. (currently 6'6 260 on X). 2027 with no offers yet, but has had D1 interest from Carolina schools. Believe he is a steal at D2 level and certainly D3. Shows some prototypical attributes. Does a nice job protecting blind side. Movement and technique are impressive.
