New York Stock Up Showcase: Quarterback Notes, Part II

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With our region's first significant snowfall imminent and looming, I was back on the grind. On Saturday, December 13, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Warwick, New York as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A prospect I had become familiar with over the last few seasons from the camp circuit was [player_tooltip player_id='939552' first='Madden' last='Martinez']. A very polished quarterback, Martinez demonstrated outstanding command of his mechanics and his release. With each passing throw, Martinez beamed with poise and confidence. His most impressive throw that I caught was on a deep seam... A youngster with room to grow is [player_tooltip player_id='2065006' first='Gabriel' last='Seabrooks']. Seabrooks, who is still in his freshman year of high school, must begin to improve his mechanics. I thought his windup-to-release had an opportunity to speed up; whereas his release and lower-half mechanics will help improve his accuracy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a similar sense, I remarked similar notes for [player_tooltip player_id='2048112' first='James' last='Coan'] as I did Seabrooks. Coan's mechanics appeared to be things that were taken for granted and waivered from rep-to-rep. As a result, he threw a dirt ball one time. Because Coan is a 2029 graduate, he has plenty of time to continue to grow, develop and improve... Another 2029 graduate, all 139lbs of him, was Navian Talbot. I have a sense that if I am afforded the opportunity to see Talbot perform again live in about 2 years there will be exponential growth. Talbot, I thought, struggled at times with deeper and longer routes due to the size of the ball and distance.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For Javon Thompson, yet another 2029 quarterback, mastering concepts will be key for him. Thompson thew an absolute beauty of a vertical, leading his receiver nicely for an uncontested grab up the sideline.
