With our region's first significant snowfall imminent and looming, I was back on the grind. On Saturday, December 13, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Warwick, New York as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

A freshman who caught my eye was [player_tooltip player_id='1231010' first='Bryce' last='Mack']. A 2029 prospect at 5'5", Macks showed plenty of promise and much in his game to build upon. I thought that he did an excellent job of getting down hill in a hurry, forcing running backs to commit. During indy, I did remark that his footwork can stand to improve... [player_tooltip player_id='2063774' first='James' last='Lynch'], a 2028 prospect has the size to be a contributor this coming season. At 5'7" and 179lbs, he has some physical tools to work with. I would, however, encourage Lynch to work on his eyes. You could tell that at moments he was occupied by the visual eye candy of a ball carrier dancing and flailing around. As Lynch's eyes zero in on the ball carriers' hips, he will track and defend better.

Lynch would benefit from taking mental reps from Jake Alves. Alves did a great job of tracking his opponent's hips. As patient as he seems, Alves might be trying to bait his matchup into a poor decision. Along with improved closing speed, I wish to see Alves be more aggressive and attack the ball carrier... Unfortunately I got more of a limited than extended look at Ethan McIntosh. The glimpse I did catch of McIntosh I remarked that I thought he could improve his bend. In his stance he appeared to compensate by broadening and widening out his stance. More bend will allow him to move quicker and become more explosive.

With regard to [player_tooltip player_id='1880924' first='Gavin' last='Parks'], I am uncertain if bib #8 was him or he took reps at other positions. Parks showed instances of really good ability and some room to improve. Registered as a linebacker, he competed as a receiver/tight end. Initially I thought he was out of position due to the fact that I saw him drop a pass and he was not all that quick. However, as the event moved on, I saw Parks extend nicely for a finger-tip grab that made me reconsider my outlook.
