As a cornerback, he has good coverage skills. His ability to cover and lock down wide receivers in man-to-man coverage is impressive. He also shows a good ability to get off blocks and make tackles in the open field. Then, as a wide receiver, he shows a good ability to run past defenders on go balls. He is also good at running routes and creating separation. The best trait he has as a cornerback is his tackling ability. He has the mindset of a linebacker playing cornerback, as evidenced by his ability to make good tackles in the open field. His ability to tackle ball carriers is excellent. Then he shows good coverage skills. He has good size (6'1"), long arms, and athleticism to match up with every type of wide receiver. He demonstrates a strong ability to cover wide receivers across the field. Then he is excellent at dropping in deep zones and making plays when they are thrown towards him. He also reads the quarterback's eyes well, as he had 3 interceptions this year. He knows how to use angles to take away passing lanes and make plays on the ball thrown near him. McCann has excellent skills as a defensive back.
