Indiana Stock Up Showcase: Tight Ends Who Balled Out

He's got long arms and gets in and out of his breaks well, which is ideal for a guy with his frame. He's able to make tough grabs over the middle and look the ball in. He's got good reflexes that help him in both the passing and running games. He's got a good frame with a strong lower body that helps him be an effective lead blocker. He's then a good enough athlete that he can catch the ball in space and make something happen. He'll lower his shoulder and fight for those tough yards when it matters. He's nimble and gets off the line like a receiver. He's got the length to throw him up some red zone targets and give him a chance to go get them. I like his ability to create after the catch as well. He's not just a straight-line TE, he's someone who can make guys miss, find a block, and hit the big play. His size and length with how physical he is, make it hard for defenders to stay on him. He's a much better athlete than they anticipate, and he catches them flat-footed. He caught 8 TDs this year for Eastern Hancock and caught the most deep balls from the TE position on Sunday. He's got experience lining up on the ball and can block, but just as easily, knows how to get open. He's a menace in zone and always seems to find a massive gap. He'll make some incredible catches with guys draped all over him. He'll lay out for the ball without hesitation and make some highlight-worthy grabs. He also strikes me as someone who understands football the right way. He's a bigger body TE who can run right through poor arm tackles and make them second-guess before trying that again. He's got a quick burst, which allows him to get to the corner. He's got good straight-line speed and can pick up chunks at a time. He can go over the middle through traffic and make some of those tight window catches as well.
