High-Upside 2028 Recruits Heading Into the Contact Period

Ohio is loaded with big-time prospects every year, and the future will be no different. Several 2028 prospects all across the state made names for themselves over the past season. As they progress through their high school and eventually college careers, you can expect big things to develop for these four prospects during the upcoming NCAA contact period in January.    Caden Lewis is a very talented underclassman out of Deer Park High School with immense potential. Lewis plays in all three phases of the game for Deer Park High School: as a kicker, wide receiver and defensive end. At wideout, he flashes great hands, the ability to high-point the ball and win contested catches. I like his college fit on defense more, where his 6-foot-3, 215-pound outside linebacker-type frame would be put to great use. Lewis, a Class of 2027 prospect, has a strong motor, great instincts and takes great angles to the ball.     Tommy Kopec is a starting running back and linebacker for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. The Class of 2028 prospect is very, very athletic, reminiscent of Notre Dame LB Drayk Bowen, he plays all over the field. At running back, he is athletic enough to be a threat in the passing game on top of being a tough runner who can bounce off contact easily. At linebacker, he possesses great range and instincts. One of the top overall athletes in Ohio.     [player_tooltip player_id='1706451' first='Julian' last='Dwyer'] is still a raw prospect but he has immense potential. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge prospect takes great angles to the quarterback as a pass rusher and wastes no time getting into the backfield. He has solid edge speed and good use-of-hands to get around the corner, shed blocks and be a force against the run. Dwyer will be competing on Saturday at the Prep Red Zone Stock Up Showcase in Columbus.     [player_tooltip player_id='1922460' first='Jordan' last='Narvaez'] is just big: a 6-foot-6, 250-pound mountain of a young man who can overwhelm defenders with his sheer size as a defensive lineman. Narvaez has an excellent size-speed combination. He can leap over opposing offensive tackles and break up passes. He flashes a great motor, and has excellent arm length and athleticism.
