[player_tooltip player_id='374785' first='Zane' last='Johnson'] has continued to separate himself as the top quarterback in the state in his class this season. Through 14 games, Johnson has completed 164/233 passes for 2,763 yards, 51 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Zane has shown an impressive ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly and hitting his receivers out of their breaks so that they can make catches in stride. He has also shown great poise in the pocket with the ability to complete passes under pressure along with the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Zane has also scored one rushing touchdown this season. Johnson currently holds offers from Appalachian State, Miami (OH), Eastern Kentucky, Akron, and Southern Mississippi, and I fully expect that list to continue to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157497' first='Dre'mail' last='Carothers'] has had a very impressive first season as the starting quarterback for Owensboro Catholic. In 14 games, Carothers has completed 260/376 passes for 3,753 yards, 46 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He does a great job of scanning the field and going through his progressions to find the open receiver, not forcing many passes into tight coverage. Carothers also throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field and touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also carried the ball 30 times for 111 yards and a touchdown this season. Dre'mail currently holds offers from Kentucky, Missouri State, Eastern Kentucky, and Kentucky Wesleyan, and I expect more to come his way over the next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='205472' first='Emmett' last='Queen'] has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to impress this season. He had a great first year at Beechwood, completing 150/210 passes for 2,710 yards, 39 touchdowns, and two interceptions in 13 games. Queen has a cannon for an arm which he uses to lead his receivers away from opposing defensive backs so that they can make catches in stride in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive ball placement, putting passes in spots where only his intended receivers can catch them. Queen also scored six rushing touchdowns this season. Emmett currently holds offers from Arizona State, Southern Mississippi, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Toledo, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='378831' first='Kade' last='Goodin'] is another quarterback who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a junior. In nine games, Goodin completed 164/276 passes for 2,357 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Kade has proved to be an accurate passer, showing the ability to put the ball in a spot where only his receiver can catch it. He has also shown the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. While he is a talented passer, he is just as impressive as a ball carrier, using his explosive speed to break away on a big run at any given moment. This season, Goodin led Collins in rushing with 105 carries for 770 yards and 21 touchdowns. Goodin currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, Bowling Green State, Southern Mississippi, and Bethune-Cookman, and I expect more to come his way this offseason.

To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1050315' first='Max' last='Johnson']. Johnson had an outstanding junior year, completing 172/247 passes for 2,270 yards, 24 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 10 games. He has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. Max has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also ran the ball 45 times for 232 yards and two touchdowns this season. Johnson currently holds offers from Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky, Liberty, Missouri State, Murray State, and Gardner-Webb, and I expect more to pile up for him heading into his senior year.
