2026 NV Rankings: Northern Nevada New Additions

<p><em>Taking a look at some of the newcomers to the 2026 NV rankings out of northern Nevada. </em></p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Corona put his name on the radar as a stout interior defender for the 5A state champs this season. He's a strong, athletic DT at 5'11"/250 that explodes off the ball and defeats blocks with a combination of twitch and quickness. He attacks with leverage, is violent and active with his hands, and can move laterally to close up gaps. What he lacks in prototypical size/length he more than makes up for in athleticism and motor. Corona holds a D-III offer from Central Methodist and figures to add to that list over the coming months with the impressive senior season he put on tape.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/FreddyC775/status/1993920299163898333?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hayes was a productive member of the McQueen receiving corps recording 379 yards and 4 TDs on 22 catches as a senior. The 5'11"/160 wideout is a lanky, fluid athlete and a fluid mover with appealing playmaking ability. He offers good speed and agility, adjusts well to the ball downfield with his body control, and is a creative runner with the ball. The 5'8"/195 senior is an explosive playmaker out of the backfield that offers serious upside in his speed, agility, and toughness with the ball in his hands. He attacks the hole, can rack up yards after first contact, and has the vision to find the cutback lanes. Reno's senior OLB tallied 116 total tackles (69 solo), 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks as a senior. He's a fast, athletic defender that excels on the perimeter with his closing speed and ability to play in space. He's quick to diagnose and react, gets downhill as a box defender, and makes plays in coverage. Look for Gollmer to generate some D-III interest as a late bloomer on the recruiting trail.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/sgollmer21/status/1980497912137412967?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Eaton was a new addition to the 2026 rankings after breaking out as Carson's leading receiver with 489 yards and 7 TDs on 25 catches this season. He's a strong, physical target at 6'2"/185 that showed his ability to win 1v1 matchups on the perimeter with his combination of size, athleticism, and ball skills. He's aggressive at the catch-point, can out-muscle smaller defenders, and is physical with the ball in his hands after the catch. Eaton is an underrated wideout that's definitely worth a look at the D-III/NAIA level.</p>
