The Final Four- 6A QBs Looking To Take Their Teams To State

Frye has some great mechanics – he has great footwork, a natural throwing motion, and excellent timing with his wide receivers.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>In addition to his arm talent, Frye can make huge plays with his legs. He has great mobility and can easily bail out of the pocket and find rushing lanes to move the chains.</em>“</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Through 13 games, Frye completed 122/205 passes for 1817 yards and 20 TDs through the air, and another 985 yards and 15 TDs on the ground.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm eager to see how Frye performs this week against Muscle Shoals. He throws with a ton of velocity, has impressive touch underneath his passes downfield, and does a great job hitting his WRs in stride for big plays.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I'm really impressed with Clemmons' ability to make plays under pressure. He stands tall in the pocket and plays with a ton of confidence, consistently delivering passes through contact and evading pass rushers to make some tough throws on the move.</em>“</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clemmons has taken Muscle Shoals' offense to a whole other level this year. He's a proficient passer who can stand in the pocket and make every throw on the field. Roberts can complete some seriously impressive throws- consistently fitting the ball into tight windows, making tough throws on the run, and taking the tops off of defenses with his ability to push the ball downfield.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Roberts is also really athletic and can make a lot happen with his legs. He's fantastic at avoiding pressure when the pocket collapses and uses his speed and mobility to outrun pass rushers, never putting drives in jeopardy.</em>“</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All of this has shown up on the stat sheet- Roberts completed 175/233 passes for 2814 yards and 32 TDs, with another 592 yards and 19 TDs on the ground. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In his first full year as a starter, Roberts has become one of the top QB talents in the state. He's a talented dual threat who can hurt defenses with his arm and rushing ability, making him a must-watch QB in this semi-final round. Preyear is also terrific at navigating the pocket- he's elusive and doesn't let pressure get to him, can extend plays and make throws on the run, and is great at avoiding sacks.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Another impressive part of Preyear's game is his mobility- he can create huge plays with his legs. On tape, he frequently carved up defenses for big gains off of zone reads and just by scrambling, he's a seriously dynamic QB who can truly beat you in every way.</em>“</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Through 13 games, Preyear completed 161/257 passes for 2743 yards and 32 TDs through the air, with another 467 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've become a huge fan of Preyear's over this last year. It's incredible to me that he's only a sophomore; the things he shows on tape are so, so impressive to see. Preyear already led and won a state championship with Montgomery Catholic last season.
