A speedy, slippery back in West Georgia having a really strong junior season, Ajayi shows impressive burst and change of direction, allowing him to find the open hole and take off through it. He also shows breakaway speed and should be one of the top returning running backs in the region next year. The Villa Rica standout is coming off a strong round one performance where he ran for 144 yards and one touchdown during a big 24-14 win over Northgate. Ajayi and the Wildcats will face a really tough task in round two when they face off against Thomas County Central.

An impressive senior flying under the radar in Athens, Valenti is a tackle-breaking back who had a really strong senior season this fall. He's helped run Clarke Central into the playoffs and is coming off an impressive week one performance against Effingham County, rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 7.1 yards per rush. He runs hard, is tough to wrap up, and is playing at a really high level right now. Valenti is hoping to keep his high school career going as the Gladiators take on a tough Roswell team this Friday night.

A powerful back with speed from the North Fulton area, Peal was one of the more productive senior running backs across the 5A classification this fall and is hoping to lead the Hornets deep into the playoffs during his final senior season. Peal was given 1st-Team All-Region honors during the regular season as he ran for 1,150 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also hit the 100-yard mark six times. During Roswell's giant win over Milton, Peal ran for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He's been one of the best backs in the area this season and will be relied on in a big way during Roswell's round two matchup against Clarke Central

A dynamic back with elusiveness, balance, and the ability to lower his shoulder and power through a defender, Davis is a playmaking senior who had a strong senior season while helping carry the load for the Newnan rushing attack. He's run for 614 yards so far this season with an impressive 13 touchdowns. He's run for five touchdowns over his last two games insulting a big week one performance where he ran for 76 yards and two scores during an impressive 48-22 win over New Manchester. He's a sleeper running back on the rise who should see more opportunities to run the ball during a round two matchup against Sequoyah.

One of the top 2027 running backs across the state, Maxwell may be flying under the radar now, but he won't be much longer after a terrific junior season where he ran for 1,588 yards and 24 touchdowns. He's run for multiple touchdowns in each of his last three games including a monster performance in round one where he ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns. He's one of the more productive backs in the Athens are and a big reason why Jackson County has had such a successful 2025 season. Maxwell will need to be at his best Friday night as Jackson County takes on a really talented Milton defense.
