#5 Clarence @ #4 McKinley

Although this game was tight at halftime, McKinley, as they have done all year, dominated the ground game with over 300 yards rushing (including 111 from QB [player_tooltip player_id='1742268' first='Kalaugn' last='Ford']) and 4 scores. The Macks passing attack had some success as well with star athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1238563' first='Cardel' last='Staples'] recording over 100 yards in the air. The turning points in the game were when junior DB Nasir Liggans registered two takeaways, returning 1 for a score. McKinley ran away with this one 36-14. The Macks will play Grand Island on Thursday 11/6 at 7pm.

Player of the Game

Moore spearheaded the McKinley ground game with 143 yards and a TD. He also forced a fumble on defense that was recovered for another score. Anthony has all the intangibles to be a top tier RB in the next level. McKinley will once again lean on him in their semi finals matchup.

#7 Kenmore West @ #2 Health Sciences Charter

Many 1st Round playoff contests end in blowouts and this game was no different. Health Sciences completely overmatched Kenmore West by defeating them 42-0. With [player_tooltip player_id='1639420' first='Tyjhaun' last='Moye'], [player_tooltip player_id='1624501' first='Alante' last='Green'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1796000' first='Amare' last='Ridgeway'] leading the defensive charge, Health Sciences created 8 QB sacks as well as 4 takeaways and a touchdown. The Falcons will host Williamsville East on Saturday 11/8 at 12pm.

Player of the Game

Although Health is known for their RB by committee, Pitts has emerged as the Falcons workhorse RB in recent weeks. In this game, Kaivohn ran for over 200 yards and scored twice.

#8 Grand Island @ #1 Williamsville North

This was the upset of the week as the #8 Vikings went into Williamsville to take down the #1 seed Will North. Although the Spartans got the scoring off first with a punt return for a TD, Grand Island would go on putting up 28 unanswered points en route to a 28-7 victory. Bulldozing, two way stud [player_tooltip player_id='806966' first='Dominic' last='Nucci'] was a menace running for 90 yards and a score while registering 6 tackles and a sack as a LB. Grand Island will play McKinley at All High Stadium on Thursday 11/6 at 7pm.

Player of the Game

It was expected that Mantione's first varsity season would be a breakout one. But he really displayed his athletic ability as an underdog. Anthony accounted for 176 of the Vikings offensive yards and 3 TDs (2 rushing and 1 passing to Aiden Galligan).

#6 Williamsville East @ #3 West Seneca West

Another big upset was the duel of two highly touted passing attacks. In the end, it was the #6 Flames that would win on the road 19-10. Williamsville East will head to Buffalo to play Health Sciences on Saturday 11/8 at 12pm. It is worth noting that Will East is the only team that came close to beating the Falcons this year as they lost a close 19-14 battle in the regular season finale.

Player of the Game

Martis was spectacular in this game delivering 16 completions on 27 attempts for 215 yards and 3 TDs (including 2 to senior breakout player, [player_tooltip player_id='1624558' first='Patrick' last='Horsmon']). Anthony will need to be on his A game to defeat Health Sciences next week.
