Although this game was tight at halftime, McKinley, as they have done all year, dominated the ground game with over 300 yards rushing (including 111 from QB [player_tooltip player_id='1742268' first='Kalaugn' last='Ford']) and 4 scores. The Macks passing attack had some success as well with star athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1238563' first='Cardel' last='Staples'] recording over 100 yards in the air. The turning points in the game were when junior DB Nasir Liggans registered two takeaways, returning 1 for a score. McKinley ran away with this one 36-14. The Macks will play Grand Island on Thursday 11/6 at 7pm.

Moore spearheaded the McKinley ground game with 143 yards and a TD. He also forced a fumble on defense that was recovered for another score. Anthony has all the intangibles to be a top tier RB in the next level. McKinley will once again lean on him in their semi finals matchup.

#8 Grand Island @ #1 Williamsville North

This was the upset of the week as the #8 Vikings went into Williamsville to take down the #1 seed Will North. Although the Spartans got the scoring off first with a punt return for a TD, Grand Island would go on putting up 28 unanswered points en route to a 28-7 victory. Bulldozing, two way stud [player_tooltip player_id='806966' first='Dominic' last='Nucci'] was a menace running for 90 yards and a score while registering 6 tackles and a sack as a LB. Grand Island will play McKinley at All High Stadium on Thursday 11/6 at 7pm.

It was expected that Mantione's first varsity season would be a breakout one. But he really displayed his athletic ability as an underdog. Anthony accounted for 176 of the Vikings offensive yards and 3 TDs (2 rushing and 1 passing to Aiden Galligan).

Another big upset was the duel of two highly touted passing attacks. In the end, it was the #6 Flames that would win on the road 19-10. Williamsville East will head to Buffalo to play Health Sciences on Saturday 11/8 at 12pm. It is worth noting that Will East is the only team that came close to beating the Falcons this year as they lost a close 19-14 battle in the regular season finale.
