PLATTE COUNTY

[player_tooltip player_id='1127280' first='Adam' last='Gisler'], RB 2026
(5'9" 180) - 23 carries for 233 yards, 10.1 yards per carry and 5 touchdowns. The Northwest Missouri State commit ran wild the entire game utilizing his speed (runs a 10.74 100 meters) and quickness to make tacklers miss, run around them or hit the outside corner and score. He also displayed his impressive strength and toughness in not being denied in short yardage and goal line plays. Gisler was determined to score and he passed the goal line 5 times to prove it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260478' first='Braiden' last='Stevens'], WR 2026
(5'10" 164) - 163 yards receiving with 3 touchdowns. The Minnesota commit drew oohs and ahs from fans and media who have not seen him play before. What Gisler did at running back, Stevens did at receiver, using his blazing speed ( ran a 10.38 100 meters last spring) and great route running with his quick twitch athleticism to get open and catch everything within his general vicinity. Braiden was a blur streaking across the field, down the sideline and making some highlight grabs. He's a special receiver and continues to show that/

[player_tooltip player_id='849688' first='Rocco' last='Marriott'], QB 2026
(6'4" 212) - 12 of 21 for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns passing, with 15 rushes for 87 yards and and another touchdown. - The recent UCF commit seemed to play with a chip on his shoulder, which was bad news for the Pioneers, as he did pretty much whatever he wanted throwing and running the ball. Marriott has great size. a big arm that makes effortless throws that are on target with their placement and touch, and he runs like a tight end with speed. He and the other Pirate skill guys look like a track team. Rocco runs a 4.59 forty and can be gone if he has open field in front of him, but he like contact and was lowering the boom on would be tacklers and not sliding on his runs. He gets a chance to win back to back state championships next week.

KIRKWOOD

[player_tooltip player_id='1608574' first='Cooper' last='Owens'], QB 2026
(6'2" 185) - 25 of 33 passing for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns. The game was a battle of the gunslingers as Owens continued with his terrific play that helped lead the Pioneers to the semifinal game, and I'm sure he wanted the competitive juices were flowing going against the big time Marriott and wanted to show what he could do himself. Cooper did not disappoint anyone in attendance, and gained some fans among the Pirate faithful with his performance. He played tough and kept his team coming back using his pinpoint passes and deep throws, along with some nice runs to keep drives alive. The All-Conference QB did all he could.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250673' first='Jamiir' last='Sloan'], WR 2026
(5'9" 165) -6 receptions for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns, averaging 22.5 yards per catch. A Northern Illinois commit who showed why he was coveted by multiple D1 schools for his receiving prowess. Jamiir is fast and able to make quick cuts to shake defenders and get separation to get open and make catches, and did just that all game long, including some difficult grabs. He played his heart out in his last high school game and gave a glimpse of what he should continue to do in college for the Panthers with his impressive receiving skills.
