On a cold and rainy night I got to watch the Vikings and Dragons battle it out in the playoff quarterfinals to advance to the final four. Here are some of the offensive standouts from the game.

ST. MARY'S

The night belonged to the Dragons 2027 D1 running back prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1452148' first='Kingston' last='Miles'] (6'1" 196) who carried the load of the offense and helped carry them into the semifinals by rushing 33 times for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 94-yards touchdown run that helped seal the game away for St. Mary's. Miles is big, fast and has good vision and feet with the ability to elude first tacklers.

2028 OT prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1405389' first='Darrius' last='Smiley'] (6'6" 275) had a strong night opening holes the whole game for Miles, and battle a fellow 6'5" defensive end all game getting the best of the evening and keeping him at bay. Smiley is big and athletic. He moves well and has good feet to get out on his blocks and finish them. The Dragons didn't throw the ball a lot but his pass pro has really improved from his freshman season. It's easy to see why he already hold four D1 offers with many colleges showing interest.

2029 bookend OT [player_tooltip player_id='1741260' first='Elijah' last='Alexander'] (6'3" 240) deserves mentioning for his performance in the rushing game and helping his running back crack the 2,000 yard mark. While the freshman O-lineman still has plenty of room to grow physically and as a player, he has truly done a great job dedicating and building himself into a productive starter with a bright future. He's a good athlete, works hard and plays hard, Look for his name in the future.

PARKWAY NORTH

The (6'0" 170) 2027 QB Keyon Bolden was under a lot of pressure most of the night, but was able to help keep his team in the game with his arm and some timely passing, Bolden is mobile and was able to throw on the run. He completed 10 of 23 pass attempts for 149 yards and a touchdown pass late that made the game closer than it probably should have been. He'll be back for another year to lead the Vikings.

2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1669382' first='Bryce' last='Glasby'] (6'0" 170) has been an outstanding defensive back for the Vikings the past 3 years, and this season he is showing his ball skills on offense, including on Friday night catching North's only touchdown and finishing with 3 receptions for 33 yards. Glasby has good speed and is physical on both sides of the ball to go along with being sure-handed.

The other Viking who scored a touchdown on the night was speedy senior RB Kareem Burns (5'11" 165) on a 5-yard run. On the night he had 43 yards on 6 carries and was one of the few offensive weapons that was effective against the physical and swarming Dragons defense.
