McNeil completed 14/19 passes for 317 yards and 4 TDs to help Spanish Springs capture the 5A regional championship over Bishop Manogue. The standout senior led the Cougars to 46+ points over the Miners for the second time this season and continues to establish himself as one of the best passers in his class. McNeil will lead one of the best offensive attacks in the state against one of the best defensive units Nevada has to offer when Spanish Springs meets Faith Lutheran in the 5A state title game next Tuesday.

Porter made an impact on both sides of the ball in McQueen's 31-16 victory over Reno in the 4A Northern regional championship on Friday. The senior TE/LB totaled 4 catches for 133 yards and 2 TDs on offense and posted 15 total tackles and 2 sacks on defense. Porter continues to establish himself as one of the most effective two-way players northern Nevada has to offer with the combination of physicality and athleticism he brings to both sides of the ball. McQueen will need a a similar performance from Porter when the Lancers face the Sloan Canyon Pirates in the 4A state championship next Tuesday.

Hickman carried 23 times for 187 yards and 2 TDs and took an INT for a TD in Moapa Valley's comeback victory over Elko in the 3A state semifinals on Friday. The 6'1"/175 junior leads the team in rushing (1,238 yards and 17 TDs) and INTs (4) and has put his name on the radar as one of northern Nevada's best RBs this season. Hickman should continue to be a key playmaker for the Pirates when they take on Churchill County for the 3A state championship this Saturday.
