<p><strong>Other notes:</strong> The Division-II Select bracket was loaded with historical noteworthiness in the first round with No. 10 Haynes Academy rolling No. 23 Abramson, 41-0, for the first playoff win in program history; No. 17 Northside topping No. 16 L.B. Landry, 27-20, for its first playoff win in 15 years; No. 13 Booker T. Washington beat No. 20 Istrouma, 22-14, for its first playoff win since 2008; and No. 18 Belaire beating No. 15 Patrick Taylor, 42-31; for its first playoff win since 2003. The latter two took road upsets to accomplish. Booker T. Washington flipped the script on Istrouma in a rematch of a 2024 first-round game, and No. 11 G.W. Carver flipped the script on No. 22 Livingston Collegiate in a rematch of a regular-season game. After taking decades to win its first playoff game, No. 9 St. Michael the Archangel has claimed two postseason victories in three years with its 35-12 defeat of No. 24 Loranger. </p>
