With the regular season coming to an end, it's time to prepare for playoff matchups. However, it is also an important time to sit back and reflect on an awesome 2025 regular season. From border to border, the state provided headlines and newfound trends from August to November. One example resides in the region they like to call "Beast Texas", where offenses sparkled, led by explosive air attacks. So, let's spotlight five junior receivers who balled out this season.

One of the best offensive weapons in the state, regardless of class, Haralson boasts a lengthy, strong frame with great footwork and consistent hands. He showcases elite explosive play ability, excelling down the field and after the catch. Trey demonstrates great release off the line of scrimmage, nearly always getting the first step on his matchups. He then does a great job of working the sideline and tracking deep balls, reeling them in with strong hands. After the catch, Haralson displays great overall speed and the lateral change of direction to make defenders miss at all three levels. Also providing value in the return game, the Lions' star wideout totaled over 1,000 yards and 10 TDs this season. With offers from schools such as Texas, Ole Miss, and Utah, watch out for Trey to wheel his offense to run in the playoffs.

https://twitter.com/MrJDavis96/status/1987002952025018452?s=20

Explosive and dynamic as any receiver in the state, Brown possesses a uniquely remarkable combination of size and speed. He can climb the ladder with the best of them in contested catch opportunities and also runs a blazing 4.35 40. Maliek is a beautiful deep-route runner with rapid and precise footwork at the line of scrimmage, followed by smooth strides and little wasted movement. In one-on-one opportunities, Brown uses great balance control and concentration to position himself, high point, and bring home the football. He demonstrates the ability to reel in over-the-shoulder and back-shoulder passes in the red zone. In 9 games this season, Maliek totaled over 900 yards and 10 TDs. Holding offers from schools such as Kansas State, Texas Tech, and UNLV, Brown and his Bulldogs begin the playoffs vs. Bridge City on Friday.

A stellar route-runner with strong hands and great ball-tracking skills, Wallace has broken out as one of the most productive players in the state this season. He does a great job of dropping his weight at the top of his routes and then exploding out of his break, showcasing a polished route tree at all three levels. With electric 4.4 speed, there aren't many DBs that can keep up with him. Something that makes Reign stand out from other wideouts is his ability to extend his hands and catch passes out in front of him from all angles. The Tigers love to feed him in the screen game as well, where he flashes loose hips and dynamic acceleration. Averaging over 22 yards per reception, Wallace totaled over 1,100 yards and a ridiculous 21 touchdowns this season. Expect his recruitment to take off, especially with the help of continued dominance in the playoffs.

A slider with elite speed and loose hips, Brown is a playmaker at all levels who thrives at making defenders miss after the catch. He displays an explosive release at the line of scrimmage and then runs routes with rapid footwork and little wasted movement. Takaiden thrives at creating yards of separation in intermediate routes, giving his QB extra time to deliver passes. He also carries the rock with great contact balance, constantly bouncing off initial contact. Brown projects to be a polished and dynamic slot receiver at the next level. In a season cut short to just seven games, the Red Raiders' pass catcher compiled over 500 yards and 6 TDs. Expect his name to pick up traction on recruiting boards.

https://twitter.com/Takaidenbrown/status/1980096161131254040?s=20

A two-sport star, Gray loves to demonstrate his crossover skills on the gridiron, beating DBs at the line of scrimmage and after the catch. Travis possesses great balance control, often jumping to reel in contested catches and controlling his landing to accelerate past defenders. He showcases loose hips after the catch with the ability to put his foot in the ground and make defenders miss. Travis is also a strong route runner, excelling at finding the creases in zone coverages and opening windows for his QB. Another explosive play monster, Gray averaged over 23 yards per reception this season to the tune of over 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. Travis will look to help lead his Bulldogs in their first-round matchup vs. Commerce on Friday, and he is definitely a name to keep an eye on down the recruiting trail.
