Clay-Battelle secured a spot in the Class A semifinals for only the second time in school history with a commanding 46-14 win over #11 Wirt County. The Cee-Bees dominated on the ground, rushing for 355 yards and scoring five touchdowns on 41 carries. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1881425' first='Corey' last='Coen'] and sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1624352' first='Caleb' last='Hall'] each surpassed 100 yards, with Coen adding two passing touchdowns on just four completions, while Hall accounted for two rushing scores.

The Cee-Bees' defense was equally dominant, forcing four turnovers, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery, while limiting Wirt County to 147 passing yards and a single touchdown. Three of Clay-Battelle's first-half touchdowns came directly off defensive takeaways, helping the team build a 34-0 halftime lead. The Cee-Bees will host No. 7 Cameron in the semifinals, seeking to extend their 11-1 season and make a run toward the state championship.

The Wahama White Falcons' perfect season ended abruptly as the Cameron Dragons rolled to a 42-16 win in a Class A quarterfinal at Point Pleasant High. The rematch of last year's state championship saw Cameron dominate on the ground, rushing for 277 yards and five touchdowns, while quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='894634' first='Kason' last='Angel'] added a passing score. Wahama struggled with turnovers, losing three fumbles and throwing a key interception, which Cameron converted into points. Despite some big plays by the Falcons, including a 70-yard touchdown pass from Cooper Roush to Aden Young, they could never overcome the Dragons' balanced attack.

Cameron's offense was efficient and relentless, with Angel accounting for multiple scores both on the ground and through the air, including a quick strike to [player_tooltip player_id='1154892' first='Marshall' last='Holland']. Wahama's defense held at times, but couldn't contain the Dragons' running game, allowing Holland to add two late rushing touchdowns that sealed the win. The White Falcons finish the season at 11-1, ending a 40-game regular-season winning streak, while Cameron moves on to face the winner of Clay-Battelle and Wirt County in the semifinals.

Ponceroff combines instincts, playmaking ability, and a strong understanding of the game, making him a consistent offensive threat. He's a small college prospect that would be a valuable addition to a D3 program and likely to produce at the next level.

2026 WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1921624' first='Trey' last='Huggins'] has emerged as a pivotal playmaker for Clay-Battelle now that he's joined the program following Hundred's consolidation. As the Cee-Bees make a deep playoff push, Huggins has showcased his versatility, lining up at receiver while also stepping in at quarterback when needed. His athleticism and instincts make him a dynamic contributor on both sides of the ball, and his performance this postseason is drawing attention from small-college programs looking for a well-rounded, high-upside talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605677' first='Colt' last='Sandy'], a former 2026 Hundred WR, has quietly developed into a versatile athlete over the past few seasons. After the consolidation of his previous school, he joined Clay-Battelle for his senior year and has made an immediate impact on their receiving corps and defensively. Sandy's athleticism also shines on the basketball court, but his size, speed, and raw ability make him a potential football prospect for smaller colleges, with the upside to develop further as he refines his skills at the next level.

2026 Clay-Battelle OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1138224' first='Kooper' last='Statler'] has been a standout for the Cee-Bees for mutliple years now coming off a First Team All-State junior season. He's likely to repeat those honors as a senior in 2025 and is a good complement to their skill athletes in the trenches. Statler is athletic for his size and is a difficult matchup for small school linemen on both sides of the ball. He's a highly productive player with aggressive, physical play that makes him one of the better big men still playing in the playoffs in Class A.

Clay-Battelle's playoff run has only highlighted how important [player_tooltip player_id='1615272' first='Zach' last='Gump'] has become to their success up front. The 6'7, 295-pound junior anchors the line with rare size for the Class A level, using his frame to create space in the run game and control defenders at the point of attack. Coaches see him as a long-term developmental prospect with a high ceiling, and his combination of length, strength, and physicality continues to draw attention as the postseason unfolds. With his best football still ahead of him, Gump is quickly becoming one of the more intriguing small-school linemen in the state.

2027 QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1881425' first='Corey' last='Coen'] has stepped into the postseason operating as the engine of Clay-Battelle's offense, guiding the group with the same creativity and poise he's shown all year. His ability to threaten defenses through the air or on the ground gives the Cee-Bees a unique edge, especially now that every snap carries playoff weight. Despite his smaller frame, Coen plays with confidence and composure, extending plays, finding open targets, and slipping past defenders when protection breaks down. With the weapons around him and the momentum Clay-Battelle has built, Coen's presence under center makes them a dangerous matchup as the stakes continue to rise.

Clay-Battelle's postseason surge has also highlighted the emergence of sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1624352' first='Caleb' last='Hall'], who has stepped comfortably into a larger role this fall. Known already for carrying on the family name after his brother's standout career, Hall has begun carving out his own identity with his quick burst and ability to create big plays in space. His growth from Year 1 to Year 2 has been evident, and he's become a steady part of the Cee-Bees' ground attack as they push deeper into the bracket. With his speed and competitive edge, Hall has quickly become another young weapon that opponents must account for as the stakes rise.
