2025 Class D1 Championship Recap: Crofton Standouts

Check out my standout prospects from the Crofton side.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2065260' first='Tyson' last='Jackson'], 2027 - RB/LB - 5'11" 210 lbs </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2065260' first='Tyson' last='Jackson'] earns the Crofton "Team MVP" for the day as he was the top offensive and defensive producer for the Warriors. On offense, Tyson ended the day with 12 carries for 171 yards and three touchdowns, along with a 15-yard reception. Tyson is a hard-running RB who is tough enough to absorb and dish out contact on his runs, but can also find creases and explode for a big gain. He ran very hard today, showing good contact balance as he takes on defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2065255' first='Jackson' last='Lynde'], 2026 - WR - 6'2" 175 lbs</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was my first time seeing Crofton receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2065255' first='Jackson' last='Lynde'] in action, and I was very impressed. Jackson ended the day with three receptions for 81 yards, highlighted by his 52-yard TD reception. Even with three catches, Jackson seemed to have several other deep ball opportunities that he and his QB didn't quite connect on. He has a taller, lengthier frame, which allows him to elevate over defenders to make tough catches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2065254' first='Tyson' last='Sanger'], 2026 - DL - 5'9" 240 lbs</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Although the Warriors weren't able to contain the Sandy Creek rushing attack, I was still impressed with the play of defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2065254' first='Tyson' last='Sanger']. The numbers may not pop off the page, ending with four total tackles, but his impact goes beyond that in his ability to eat up space on the interior defensive line. Sanger has a strong, sturdy frame, allowing him to stack up double teams, which opens up opportunities for his teammates to swoop in for the stop.
