Week 9 Recap- Standout Offensive Performances Across the State

What a week!   Today, we're watching some of our Standout Performers on the offensive side of the ball. These prospects dominated this week and have been putting together some impressive seasons- we're all going to have to watch out for them moving forward.   With that being said, make sure you watch their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1127591' first='Sye' last='Byrd'] is a talented ATH/TE who's really caught his stride this season by carving up defenses all across the state.   "At TE, Byrd is a talented route runner who uses his size and catch radius to dominate DBs downfield for huge receptions. He can gain tons of separation off of his routes and has a reliable set of hands he uses to haul in passes through coverage and contact, consistently making some highlight reel catches all throughout the year."   Byrd has emerged as a go-to target for his QB over the last few weeks. This week was no different as he hauled in 3 receptions for 103 yards and a TD against Theodore.      [player_tooltip player_id='1018700' first='AJ' last='Alexander'] is a dominant RB out of Dothan who's been incredibly productive over the last four years.   “Alexander plays with terrific speed and elusiveness, great vision, and a lot of toughness that allows him to make huge plays on the ground. Alexander does a great job finding open lanes and navigating his way through defenses- he rarely takes on contact and can find yardage every carry he gets.“   Alexander was unstoppable against Auburn this week. He racked up 27 carries for 212 yards and 4 TDs, and one pass completion for 51 yards as well.      [player_tooltip player_id='595070' first='Mason' last='Burkhardt'] is a talented senior QB out of Enterprise who's strung together some really impressive performances over the season.   "I had a blast watching Burkhardt's tape- he's a real gunslinger who can rip it around the field and make some really impressive throws in a variety of ways. Burkhardt throws with a ton of velocity and also places great touch underneath his passes downfield.   Throughout his tape, you can find him zipping the ball through tight windows and launching some beautiful passes to his WRs for huge gains. He has some serious arm talent. On top of that, Burkhardt has the speed and mobility to make plays with his legs, constantly keeping the defense on their heels."   Burkhardt was incredibly efficient this week against Smiths Station. He completed 13/17 passes for 205 yards and 2 TDs with another 25 yards on the ground.      [player_tooltip player_id='1646124' first='Dom' last='Santiago'] is a workhorse RB out of Helena who's been having a monster senior season this fall.   "Santiago is an explosive threat on the ground- he's patient in the backfield, waits for rushing lanes to develop, and has the speed and explosiveness to immediately turn upfield for huge gains.   Santiago is quick, plays with impressive speed, and can make defenders miss in a variety of ways to maximize each carry. On top of that, he's also shown he can produce in the passing game- frequently providing his quarterback with a great safety outlet underneath who can also find ways into the endzone."   Santiago was dominated on the ground against Calera. He racked up 217 yards and 3 TDs off 21 carries, making every opportunity count.      [player_tooltip player_id='401077' first='BJ' last='Bedgood'] is an electric WR who's made countless plays out wide for Benjamin Russel this season.   Bedgood is an athletic wide receiver who can attack several levels of the field for his team's passing attack. He's a talented route runner, can gain tons of separation downfield, and has a great set of hands he uses to attack the ball.   I'm really impressed with Bedgood's quickness- he has great footwork and can change his direction/make defenders miss for huge plays after the catch.   Bedgood was unstoppable against Chelsea. He hauled in 5 receptions for 141 yards and 2 TDs on the night, creating some awesome highlight reel plays.
