It was a clear and cool fall night in Lima Senior's Spartan Stadium. The Spartans would come in riding a 5-game win streak and with the conference title already wrapped up. Scott would give Lima Senior all they could handle for a half as Senior lead 8-0 win. In the Second half it was almost all Spartans as they would pull away for a 37-6 win over the Bulldogs. Lima Senior had a lot of underclassmen who I thought flashed in the game. The 2 freshman and 4 sophomores all started for the Spartans. So, let's take a look at them!

The freshman really flashed in this game. He has a great frame and wears his weight well. He was able to get into the backfield with ease. He has a great get-off and has a great combo of size and athleticism. He plays with good pad level and is able to shoot the gap and beat blockers with his quickness. Nehemiah uses his hands well and is active at the point of attack. Once he gets into the backfield, he's explosive and strong in pursuit. Nehemiah just needs to keep working to get stronger and continue to add good weight. Ramsey is a young defensive lineman who has a very bright future.

I noticed Betts in the pregame warmups doing the linebacker position drills. He has a solid and athletic build. He showed loose hips, and fluid change of direction traits. I was pretty astonished when I found out that he was only a freshman. It all translated to the game where Batts lined up both at middle linebacker and off the edge. His versatility and ability to play inside or outside as a freshman is a trait that will make him a valuable commodity when his recruitment begins.

Laderyon looks like your prototypical left tackle. He has great length with a sizeable wingspan. When he gets in his stance he displays good bend. He mirrors well and has active hands. Lima Senior goes empty set a lot and puts there tackles on islands and what you see in Dillon-Brewer is a lineman who's very comfortable in pass pro and keeping his QB clean. I'm excited to see how Laderyon continues to progress with more experience and physical development.

For a sophomore Carter is a physical presence. He lined up at tackle for the Spartans. He has a great frame with room to fill out. The first thing I noticed was his athleticism. He moves and anchors well in the pass game. On a screen pass he showed the quickness and fluidity to get out and block in space. As Treyson continues to fill out and get stronger, I think he'll really start to fly onto recruiting radars.

Taylor was another I noticed during warmups. He possesses great size for a young receiver. As a route runner he's a little raw. When it comes to physical tools, he's a fluid runner and has a good burst with his releases. Depending on how he grows and fills out I think it's possible that he could grow into a tight end where his athleticism and speed would play up. I'd really be interested to see him on the defensive side of the ball where his combination of size, twitch, and athleticism could make him a big-time playmaker at the edge position. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for Dakaden.

Williams line up at slot for the Spartans. He's a twitchy receiver who has the burst to create separation in small spaces. He also has the speed to stretch the field vertically as well. When it came to going over the middle knowing he was going to take contact, he was fearless. He's a natural hands catcher who can make yards after the catch. Williams has the look of a receiver who can be a versatile playmaker at the slot position.
