Here we will take a look at what the future looks like for several programs. I broke down several JV players from 2025. Some may be players that will have an impact in 2026 and some may even get called up for the playoffs.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='1639406' first='Vincenzo' last='Mullett'] (Canisius) | Class of 2029 | Mullett is a versatile QB that can use his legs as well as his arm. He guided the Crusaders JV team to some impressive wins. He may get called up for the playoffs but playing time will be hard to come by as they already have 4 QBs on Varsity. This is a player worth monitoring.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1864276' first='Tremayne' last='Brooks'] (St. Francis) | Class of 2028 | Brooks just finished his second season on the Red Raiders JV team. He has shown a lot of burst and power. St. Francis JV takes a pass first approach so his film is scarce but he has shown quality tape. Tremayne got called up to the playoffs as a freshman and got some playing time but this year, St. Francis brought in 2 RBs that are in Connolly Cup contention so he may not play as much as he did last season. But the future is bright for him.

WR Thomas Reaska (St. Francis) | Class of 2028 | The Red Raiders is loaded with top tier talent so Reaska is a player to watch for in 2026. He was the unquestioned top athlete on their JV team making several critical plays at WR and DB.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='1909391' first='Max' last='Pierrot'] (Canisius) | Class of 2029 | Pierrot was the Crusaders go to WR on the JV level. Defensive Coordinators had to gameplan around him. The Canisius Varsity team is a run oriented squad but if they want to open up their passing attack, I would expect Max to get called up and have some extensive playing time.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1735592' first='Ezra' last='Rosner'] (Williamsville East) | Class of 2028 | Rosner spent the majority of 2025 on JV but did get called up for their week 7 win against Amherst. Ezra is a speedy WR with soft hands and a tenacious DE with a quick first step. I don't think there is a doubt he will be called up for the playoffs but the extent of his playing time is yet to be seen.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1952677' first='Ben' last='Rogers'] (Orchard Park) | Class of 2029 | Rogers finished his freshman year as one of the Quakers JV top playmakers. He runs crisp routes and has the ability to catch the ball at his highest point. Orchard Park is one of the favorites to reach the Sectional championship this year. They may bring Rogers up for depth.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='1672660' first='Chase' last='Fleischer'] (Maryvale) | Class of 2028 | Fleischer has shown decent JV film. His sophomore tape was much better than his freshman year. He has a knack of being around the ball and can make solid tackles. 2 years of JV is the best for his development. The Flyers season has concluded so it is on to 2026 and we will see how he has improved.

WR Dominic Ceccarelli (West Seneca West) | Class of 2029 | Ceccarelli did a little bit of everything on offense and defense for the Warhawks JV. Whether it was at QB or WR, whether he was throwing, running or catching, he is a playmaker. Dom will be called up to varsity for their playoff run. Whether he gets playing time or not in the playoffs, I expect him to be West Seneca West's top WR in 2026.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1681150' first='Xavier' last='Mulvihill'] (St. Francis) | Class of 2029 | Mulvihill is a small shifty RB that is dangerous in the open field. He has a low center of gravity and quick feet. He should get called up for the playoffs but I expect him to learn from one of the best 1-2 combos in the area before he breaks out. He should be a player to watch on the varsity level in 2027.

OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1692699' first='Myles' last='Fryling'] (Depew) | Class of 2029 | Fryling was a terror on both sides of the ball and controlled the line of scrimmage all year. I fully expect him to be called up for the playoffs and should be considered a top OL/DL prospect for the Class of '29

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1841192' first='Nakhi' last='Welch'] (Canisius) | Class of 2028 | Welch is a big, bruising back that can turn on the burners. He had several multiple TD games for the Crusaders JV and is a player to watch in 2026. He may get called up but the Canisius RB room is stacked with top end talent so playing time may be hard to come by this year.
