Rising Signal Callers: 2029 Quarterbacks to Know

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. Martavius Conway (c/o 2029) Position: Quarterback School: Tampa Bay Tech Height/Weight: 5'10”, 160 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 9): 58-114 for 867 yards and 9 touchdowns   Scouting Report: Conway is a poised young passer who's starting to find his rhythm playing for a talented Tampa Bay Tech offense. He's shown good pocket awareness and confidence delivering the football downfield, using quick reads and a compact release to hit open targets. His arm strength allows him to make intermediate throws with timing and touch, and his growing comfort within the offense has resulted in steady production throughout the season.   Analysis: Conway's overall command continues to develop each week, as he's becoming more comfortable reading defenses and managing the flow of the game. His consistency and accuracy under pressure are areas to watch as he matures physically, but the early signs point to a quarterback with solid mechanics and leadership traits. As his frame fills out and experience grows, Conway projects as a high-upside prospect within Florida's 2029 QB class.   Ralph Diaz (c/o 2029) Position: Quarterback School: North Broward Prep High Height/Weight: 5'10”, 155 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 9): 81-139 for 1,096 yards and 7 touchdowns   Scouting Report: Diaz is a sharp, efficient passer who thrives on rhythm throws and smart decision-making. He displays excellent timing with his receivers, showing confidence pushing the ball into tight windows when necessary. His footwork is clean in his dropbacks, and he's shown the ability to throw with accuracy on the move, an indicator of next-level coordination and field awareness.   Analysis: At this stage, Diaz shows advanced understanding of timing and spacing, traits that set him apart from many young quarterbacks. Continued physical development will help him add more velocity to his passes, but his football IQ and command of the short-to-intermediate passing game already stand out. Diaz projects as a polished, cerebral passer who can efficiently operate a spread-style offense.   Kingston Loydd (c/o 2029) Position: Quarterback School: Lake Wales High Height/Weight: 5'11”, 180 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 9): 67-106 for 1,214 yards and 9 touchdowns; 35 carries for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns   Scouting Report: Loydd is a dual-threat quarterback with a strong build and confident command of his offense. He's shown he can stretch defenses vertically with an accurate deep ball and use his mobility to escape pressure or extend plays. His rushing numbers add another layer to his impact — he's dangerous when rolling out and making plays off-script, showing natural field instincts and vision.   Analysis: Loydd's combination of passing efficiency and mobility gives him one of the higher ceilings in the 2029 class. He already demonstrates leadership and composure, and his frame provides a solid foundation for further development. Derrell Monroe (c/o 2029) Position: Quarterback School: Parker High Height/Weight: 5'8”, 150 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 9): 81-128 for 1,057 yards and 8 touchdowns   Scouting Report:  Monroe brings a confident presence and quick release to the field. Despite being undersized, he's efficient with his reads and delivers accurate passes in rhythm. His touch on short and mid-range throws stands out, and he shows good poise in the pocket when facing pressure. Monroe's mechanics are compact and repeatable, giving him consistency in his ball placement.   Analysis:  Monroe's football intelligence and calm demeanor under pressure make him a promising developmental passer. Continued physical growth and arm strength will be key to unlocking his full potential, but his current accuracy and decision-making are impressive for his age. He's a poised, efficient operator with upside as he matures and gains more experience against faster defenses.   Maksim Steuber (c/o 2029) Position: Quarterback School: Piper High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 190 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 9): 63-126 for 515 yards and 3 touchdowns   Scouting Report: Steuber possesses a sturdy frame and solid mechanics, with flashes of strong arm talent when he's able to set his feet. He's shown leadership qualities and an improving sense of pocket movement, allowing him to make throws even under pressure. While still developing consistency, his physical tools give him a solid foundation to build on moving forward.   Analysis: Steuber's blend of size and arm strength makes him a name to keep tabs on as he continues refining his decision-making and accuracy. The physical upside is clear, he has the tools to make all the necessary throws and command an offense effectively. As he gains more reps and confidence in his reads, he could take a major step forward in his overall production and efficiency.
