Northern California Top Uncommitted Offensive Tackles

Finau is a very athletic prospect on either side of the ball at tackle and is light on his feet with good twitch and lateral movement abilities in space. He is a violent player off the ball with his hands and hips and shows he can create immediate displacement on defenders while very comfortable getting to the second level and setting against speed rushers/second level defenders. Defensively, Finau is a high motor kid that is seemingly always around the ball making plays backside/eating up blocks inside and can shed quickly controlling blockers with his hands and flashes closing speed when collapsing the pocket. He is still available and one of the best tackle prospects that remains uncommitted across the bay area.     Landry could find himself at either tackle or guard in college, but has a very athletic frame and moves well in space, shows a violent punch and foot drive through contact while able to finish blocks with nasty intentions at the first level. He is a natural bender in his stance and has a quick first step/handset to get a jump on defenders and shows he can combo to the second level, takes the proper angles and flashes patience and body control in pass protection. Overall, he is a very athletic prospect that offers tremendous position versatility in college at either position and has the frame to continue packing on good weight before he moves to the next level. He is a no-brainer to be a late steal for a college program and is a key name to note across the Redwood Empire as we near National Signing Day.     Ellis is one of the top offensive players across the SJS and has the ideal length and size for the tackle position in college. He is a very athletic and snappy tackle that shows he is comfortable blocking in space/pulling to the second level and shows he can finish blocks with violent intentions and physicality at the first two levels. He has good strength and violent hands at the POA in the run game and is a high IQ blocker when performing a combo block or picking up stunts/twists in pass protection. Ellis also does a nice job at using his length to keep defenders of his chest and wash out edge rushers on the outside or recover against counter moves. His recruitment will be one to watch moving forward and he is without a doubt one of the top JUCO targets as well with a high ceiling down the line as well if he were to go to that level.     Byrd made the transfer over to Liberty after playing last season at Frontier and is one of the more violent and nasty blockers across the central valley. He is a true mauler in the run game and runs his feet through his blocks, has a quick and violent punch while showing finish abilities and created immediate vertical push on the perimeter. He has quick feet to get out to the edge and seal off edge rushers and stays patient in pass protection with his hands and feet while able to block both power and speed rushers without giving up ground. Although only a Junior, he is having a breakout season and will be one of the top names across the offensive line prospects in the region this off-season and should have a successful camp circuit.     Lundgren is a still raw and developing prospect, but has the ideal size and frame for the next level and plenty of growth potential and upside potential. He can play either guard or tackle, but could be a inside guy in college due to movement/athleticism. He excels in the run game, creating vertical push with a solid initial punch and balanced frame when driving off the ball. He shows the ability to finish blocks at the first level and can pull/get to the second level when need be. He still needs to continue working on overall body movement/feet but has all the starting tools needed to be successful in college. his commitment will be one to watch and he should draw plenty of D3+ interest after the season.
