Mountain State Midseason Specialists Evaluations

Colleges will evaluate prospect film from the midpoint of the season to assess their progress this season, as they update their recruiting boards. Paige has been nearly perfect on his place kicks, converting on 31/32 PATS and 1/1 on field goals. He's been a weapon on kickoffs as well, with several recoveries from his ball placement versatility. He came out for football for his senior season with a soccer background, and has done a nice job for the Wildcats at a position they needed someone to step up at this year. Strickland is averaging over 52 yards on kickoffs with 8 touchbacks so far this season and has converted on 33/40 PAT attempts. He's further showcasing the potential we saw in him as a young player, which placed him among the Top 5 kickers in his class in our rankings. The ball jumps off his foot on kickoffs, and LaFon can develop into a consistent touchback kicker as he progresses over time. We expected him to do just that when we ranked him as an early Top 5 specialist in our 2028 rankings this summer. Smith has been perfect on PATs, converting on 28/28 attempts and his lone field goal attempt. He's been consistent for the Bulldogs as a first-time varsity starter on both punt snaps and place kicks. The next step of his long snapping journey, if Summers would like to play at the next level, is improving his athleticism in punt coverage and being able to effectively get downfield after the snap.
