Being through the first five weeks of the season we are continuing to evaluate mid-season film. Here are some more impressive prospects on the offensive side looking at tight ends, offensive lineman, and athletes!

TE [player_tooltip player_id='1399937' first='Gavin' last='Mueller'] (South Elgin – 2026)

The Colorado tight end commit goes 6'6” 255 pounds. Solid hands on short routes and is a tank running with it after. Mueller can get vertical making acrobatic catches with his wide catch radius. High points passes in 50/50 situations. Continues to improve his route running in the short and intermediate game. He has been a force as a wildcat QB for South Elgin this year taking direct snaps to the house.

TE Reid Brown (Olney – 2027)

Brown has impressive size at 6'6” and 220 pounds. As a tight end he has the ability to go over the middle making plays. Feel for finding space when QB is scrambling. Also is as a force as a blocker understanding angles as both a run blocker and pass blocker.

TE [player_tooltip player_id='1400856' first='Aidan' last='Hantson'] (Lincoln Way East – 2027)

Like what this tight end brings to the table with his size as both a receiver and a blocker. Makes catches over the middle and from difficult angles. Brings major physicality as a blocker. Also contributes on special teams.

TE Lincoln Mercado (Geneva – 2027)

Need to keep an eye on this Geneva tight end as the 6'2” 225 pound junior has 12 catches for 116 yards and 4 touchdowns through five games.

TE Thomas Prescott (Batavia – 2027)

Jumbo option at 6'5” 200 pounds who has 7 catches with 4 of them being touchdowns totaling 213 yards.

OL Chase Clark (Mt. Carmel – 2027)

Really like what we have seen out of this Mt. Carmel 6'4” 270 pound right tackle early in the season. Great frame and wide base along with long arms. Light on his feet in pass pro along with using his length to keep defenders away. Seals off edge in run game on his side. Super effective as a pass protector on the right side.

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1626297' first='Will' last='Rosenow'] (Sycamore – 2027)

Rosenow is a right tackle that is quick and powerful in the run game. Blows defenders off the ball on a consistent basis along with sealing off his side to run behind. Has mobility getting to the second level.

OL Xander Hopkins (Champaign Central – 2029)

Hopkins is a 6'0” 245 pound freshman left guard. He plays with a wide base and is solid in pass pro. Physicality at a young age in the run game moving them for pancakes at times. Bright future!

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1701229' first='Jayden' last='Fragoso'] (Hillcrest – 2026)

The Hillcrest interior offensive lineman brings plus athleticism at the pivot. He has nice size and strength at 6'0” 245 pounds blowing up holes. Anchors well against big defensive lineman in pass rush situations.

OL Shannon Green (Kenwood – 2027)

Athletic tackle for Kenwood that has a lot of physical tools to like. Good pass blocker that does a nice job hand fighting to keep defenders away and when they get off balance he puts them on the ground. At 6'2” 250 we could see him kicking inside and being a nice player at the next level.

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1670110' first='Ethan' last='Katauskas'] (Lemont – 2026)

The center from Lemont goes 6'1” 240 pounds. Mean streak up front mauling up front. Gets out in space as a lead blocker. Good athlete on the second level.

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1264292' first='Jayden' last='Camacho'] (Taft – 2026)

Camacho is a big boy on the offensive line. The left tackle has a nice combination of size, strength, and length. Seals off well on his side of the line in the run game. Anchors and mirrors well in pass protection along with showing a solid kick.

OL Billy Brennan (Lincoln Way Central – 2027)

Brennan is an interior offensive lineman that brings mobility on the interior. Blocks on the second level being able to make excellent blocks on the move pulling and in space.

OL Connor Nielsen (Loyola – 2028)

Sophomore right tackle who has nice size and strength. Physical use of his hands in both the run and pass game. Anchors against pass rushers. Moves defenders off the line of scrimmage in the run.

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1865510' first='Brendan' last='Draves'] (Tinley Park – 2027)

Junior left guard that plays with a wide base. Anchors well in pass protection with his strength and technique. Wrestles with defensive lineman in the run game getting them on the ground. Effective as a puller and blocking in space.

ATH CJ Geist (Naperville North – 2027)

Smooth route runner that showed great athleticism on an out and up move making an acrobatic catch in coverage. Shows good speed on bubble screens taking it downfield for nice gains.
