Linebacker and EDGE Players Standing Out

Through the first four weeks covered in his mid-season highlight tape, he recorded 28 Tackles, 5 Tackles for Loss, 2 Fumble Recoveries, 1 Blocked Punt, and 1 Touchdown. &nbsp;As an off-ball outside linebacker, he shows versatility to defend the run, pass, and pass rush. He does a good job of getting to the ball, demonstrating good awareness on the field, defending the run and pass. He has a quick first step and a good rip move that allows him to beat Offensive Tackles. His athleticism allows him to be a three-down linebacker and play in the Nickel and Safety positions as well. He has good read and react as a Linebacker and quickly meets ball carriers in the hole. He had a good workout in our Spring Combine and is showing that on the field this fall. Through 5 games, Roman has totaled 62 tackles. He has very good eyes and vision on the play. He is able to play through blocks, with good hand usage, keeping his eyes on the ball, and has the strength and athleticism to shed the block and make a play. He shows good range and the ability to be a three-down linebacker. At 5'9", he has a good frame and a strong base and plays with good balance and quickness, allowing him to be an effective player for the Saints. He has solid range with solid lateral movement and short-area quickness that allows him to defend the run. He is a good tackler who stays square and loves to lay a big hit on ball carriers.
