The Trench Trophy is awarded annually to Western New York's best lineman. Each week, the Trench Trophy committee presents a list of players that showcased excellent ability to control the line of scrimmage for the given games. Here are the Week 4 selections of the best OL/DL prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1345232' first='James' last='Crooks'] (Akron) | 6'2 275 lbs. | Crooks has been a dominant two way lineman for a couple years now and is establishing himself as a top tier player in Class C. In a big win over Tonawanda, Akron ran for over 200 yards and 2 TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1258819' first='Richard' last='Donohue'] (Iroquois) | 6'1 220 lbs. | Donohue may be one of the most selfless players in Section VI. I have seen him play FB, OL, DL and Gunner on special teams. While he is an asset on the OL, DE is where his future will lie; he may even transfer to a LB in college. In a huge Class B game vs Lackawanna, Richard led the Redhawks in tackles from his DL position with 17 tallies and added 5 QB pressures.

David Graves (McKinley) | 6'1 305 lbs. | A rain soaked game is an O-Lineman's dream - McKinley's rushing attack, led be Graves, ran for almost 300 yards and scored 4 TDs on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='806710' first='Gavin' last='McWhirter'] (Orchard Park) | 6'3 340 lbs. | One of my favorite senior OL, McWhirter has fully recovered from the injury that put him on the shelf in 2024. In this critical Class AA game vs Jamestown, Gavin anchored the Quakers rushing attack to the tune of 200 yards and 3 scores.

Matt Redlecki (CSP) | 5'11 185 lbs. | The Wolfpack lost a close Class C matchup to Chautauqua Lake but Redlecki kept CSP in the game racking up 6 tackles (3 for loss) and 2 QB sacks.

Jamere Valentine (West Seneca East) | 6' 240 lbs. | Valentine was the Trojans best player in the tranches. Jamere led the WSE rushing attack with another 350 yard performance and 5 TDs. He also added 5 tackles, a forced fumble and fumble recovery on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='505866' first='Jaizen' last='Warren'] (Bennett) | 6' 290 lbs. | Warren is one of the most versatile and aggressive two way lineman in Class AA. In their blowout win over Clarence, Jaizen led the Tigers rushing attack with 340 yards and 3 TDs while adding 3 tackles and 2 pass defensed from his DT position.
