Film Room Fridays (10/3)- Top Submissions of the Week

Welcome back to Film Room Fridays!   In this installment, we are looking at some of the recent submissions we have received from prospects across the state. [player_tooltip player_id='1308415' first='Adyn' last='Vann'] is a talented LB from Smiths Station in the middle of a dominant sophomore year.   "Vann is terrific at putting himself in position to impact plays. Whether it be against the run, pass, or on special teams, Vann is always near the ball creating stops. I'm really impressed with Vann's skills as a run defender- he consistently flies downhill, fills in rushing lanes, and fights off blockers to rack up tackles down by the line of scrimmage.   Vann brings the same level of play against the pass. He can cover tons of ground and is a reliable tackler out in the secondary who consistently keeps pass catchers behind the sticks."   I've been a big fan of Vann's since earlier this year, and man, he's only gotten better. I'm really excited to keep track of him the rest of this season and onward. He's a talented defender who deserves more eyes.      [player_tooltip player_id='1654991' first='Lijah' last='Jones'] has become a key piece of Colbert County's offensive line and is in the middle of an impressive senior year.   “Jones is super reliable at OT. He plays with good leverage, has impressive strength, and does a great job playing through the whistle. He's a talented run blocker who can easily drive defenders off the line of scrimmage and open up huge plays on the ground.   Jones can also help open up the passing game. He's quick on his feet, has a strong base, and plays with great leverage, providing plenty of time for his QB."   Jones has been playing at a high level this season, especially for his team's run game. I've been really impressed with his performance this season. Make sure you check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1654960' first='Marques' last='Crum'] is a dominant sophomore LB from Mae Jemison who's having a breakout season this fall.   “[player_tooltip player_id='1654960' first='Marques' last='Crum'] is a versatile LB who already can make huge plays against the run and pass. Crum is a talented run defender who quickly fills in lanes to take on the ball carrier at and behind the line of scrimmage- he's a smart player who knows where he needs to be to make stops and does it so consistently   On top of that, Crum brings the same production to his team's pass defense- he can rush the passer well but has tons of skills out in coverage that don't go unnoticed. Crum holds down the middle of the field and quickly makes his way to pass catchers to break up passes or dish out big hits.“   It's awesome watching Crum play, especially when you consider how he's still an underclassman. Do yourself a favor and watch some of his film below, you'll come away impressed.      Rakeem "JoJo" Nelson is an up-and-coming 2029 LB already making an impact for Minor this fall.   "At 6'0 215, Nelson has the speed, strength, and instincts to make plays all over the field. He's quick on his feet, can cover tons of ground, has impressive coverage and ball skills, and is a heat-seeking missile to the ball every down.   I'm really impressed with Nelson's versatility. He's already shown he's able to line up and produce in multiple different ways around the field. We all need to get familiar. He's a really well-rounded player already."   I'm excited to keep watching Nelson. Minor has been great at developing talent recently- I won't be surprised if we see a lot more of Nelson moving forward. "At LB, Scott is terrific at defending the run. He gets downhill fast, fills in rushing lanes, and meets the ball carrier before or right at the line of scrimmage almost every carry.   At RB, Scott is a threat with the ball. He's explosive out of the backfield, has impressive vision, and can quickly cut and change his direction to create big gains on the ground."   I've been really impressed with Scott this season. He's a talented two-way player making a ton happen over at Southern Christian. Take a look at some of his clips below:
