3A Washington Mid Season All State- 1st/2nd Team "D"

The Midseason All State Offense and Defense is done in collaboration with Andrew Nemec. This is NOT just a recruiting-based list although most of the individuals listed are ranked among the top athletes in their respective regions. As with most all state lists, team success is a heavy factor in whether or not an individual is selected. Have a look at the breakdown summarizing the Washington 3A team.          *Please note there will be extended 1st & 2nd team selections in lieu of 3rd team or honorable mention picks.          DEFENSIVE SUMMARY: Positionally Washington features one of the top D line groups anywhere in the country. O'Dea by itself is factory of D1 talent featuring the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'] who recently flipped from UCLA to Stanford and [player_tooltip player_id='284217' first='FA' last='Siale'] who is headed to Michigan St. Teammate and 3x all state lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1354431' first='Jeremiah' last='Nonu'] is a steal for Nevada. He will play early for the Wolfpack.    If Oregon St can hold on to [player_tooltip player_id='1568782' first='Adel' last='Dorr'] that would be a huge score for the program. The 3* DE has ridiculous film coming off an impressive junior year which saw him garner numerous D1 offers. As most know [player_tooltip player_id='1617792' first='Aedyn' last='Havili'] is a major national recruit and will be one of the most talked about defenders nationally for the 2028 class.    Mathaias Kelepo is leaving no doubt on the D line for the Wolverines. Expect him to be in the POY conversation. Two other big men who have stepped up include [player_tooltip player_id='1704121' first='Sam' last='Davidson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1530863' first='Micah' last='Thomas'] of Lake Washington. The 6-7 Davidson has 8 sacks and 14 TFL's through 6 weeks for Seattle Prep. The 5-11 250-pound Thomas is a force up front, being one of the state statistical leaders with 30 tackles, 7.5 TFL's, and 5.5 sacks.    At the LB spot [player_tooltip player_id='402799' first='Wassie' last='Lugolobi'] is one of the top ranked players in the state and will join [player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'] at Stanford next season. [player_tooltip player_id='726154' first='Ta'u' last='Mareko'] has done a phenomenal job of coming back from injury, putting up some unreal numbers for an undefeated Lakes team. Thus far on the year he's averaging 8 tackles per game (56 total) with 14 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. [player_tooltip player_id='584705' first='Adonai' last='Ve'e'] made the transfer from Kentwood and has been a standout for O'Dea   Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1335521' first='RJ' last='Ward'] is a two-way threat and one of the only underclassmen in the entire NW to earn all-state honors on both sides of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1165346' first='Shan' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1671389' first='Teaven' last='Jones'] of Mount Tahoma have both been having player of the year type seasons, combining for 128 tackles and 34.5 tackles for loss. Shan currently sits with 82 of those tackles with the younger Teaven putting up an impressive 10 sacks.    Speaking on the DB's Husky commit [player_tooltip player_id='1165368' first='Elijah' last='Durr'] has had a Hall of Fame career for the T-Birds and is a primary reason they sit at 7-0. No one wants to throw at him on D and he's also averaging 22.7 yards per catch with 6 TDs on O. As referenced offensively [player_tooltip player_id='726148' first='Zamarie' last='Tellez'] is a freak and the only player to earn 1st team honors on both sides of the ball.    Bellevue's [player_tooltip player_id='1679403' first='Nick' last='Norrah'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1568786' first='AJ' last='Morton'] are both having outstanding seasons.
