It's October and that means we're updating all of our rankings across the classes. Last week, we released our first 2029 watchlist. This week, we've updated the 2028 rankings to now feature the top 75 sophomores in Oklahoma! And today, we're continuing our 2028 prospect breakdowns with a look at three running backs who have stood out in one way or another so far this season. We featured another 2028 RB earlier this week in our Top Newcomer article as well as another standout in our Top Stock Risers article. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2028 prospect breakdowns and every week for a new class ranking update!

Two-time defending champ Lincoln Christian is absolutely loaded and they've won 30+ consecutive games. They have plenty of players who can shine every week but sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] is quickly becoming one of the most electric players in the state. Wright came into high school last year as one of the fastest running backs in the state and that speed has been on full display ever since. Whether it's at running back, making plays as a receiver or returning kicks, Wright is incredibly dangerous with the football in his hands. Between rushing and receiving numbers this season, Wright is averaging a little over 13 yards a touch. Despite all of that, he still feels underrated and his best football is ahead of him.

Stillwater running back [player_tooltip player_id='1837221' first='Jaedan' last='Adams'] was a player that we were very excited to watch this season. He really impressed us back in the spring and he's had a terrific start to his sophomore season. We caught Adams in person in their big win over Choctaw this week. He lived up to the hype. His backfield running mate at quarterback took all the touchdowns but Adams led the team in rushing and played with an incredibly physical style. There was one run in particular where it felt like he broke close to ten tackles and it eventually took three guys to bring him down. That's the game for Adams as he's one of the most physical runners in the state, regardless of class. He's just scratching the surface on what he'll be in two years.

Similar with Adams, Broken Arrow's [player_tooltip player_id='1828542' first='Corey' last='Sango Jr']. is coming off his best performance this week and that's certainly stuck in our head as we talk about his overall game. Sango was a 2028 prospect that was picking up some serious momentum this offseason and specifically in the spring. But the Tigers have one of the best 2027 running backs in their backfield, so Sango's opportunities have been limited on Friday nights. Sango got his opportunity on Friday night with Broken Arrow missing their starter. He had a monster performance in the win over Norman North and showed that he is more than capable of being the marquee guy in this Broken Arrow backfield. He's another name to remember in this 2028 class.
