[player_tooltip player_id='1213835' first='Matthew' last='Heininger']-Brighton

The Brighton LB, is currently committed to Buffalo, and ranks as my top LB in the state for the 2026 class. Standing at 6'2" 225-Pounds, he displays a solid size for the position. He can play on both sides of the ball, and adds some solid reps at TE. He is a heat seeking missile, and has outstanding vision, tracking the play, and using his strength to knock players back. Heininger, fills gaps well, and understands his placement, and footwork through run plays. I like the Brighton LB, as a rusher, who has the potential to drop into coverage when needed.

Standing at 6'3" 215-Pounds, the SJCI LB, displays a good build for a LB. We saw him Week 0 during the Heroes Bowl in Albany, where he displayed his beautiful big play bow during the game. He has been limited to only four games this season due to injury, but has made his presence felt in a limited time. He has a high motor, and outstanding speed. I like his tackling, and pursuit, as he can run sideline to sideline to make plays for his squad. He showcases good vision, and footwork, on run plays, where he busts through gaps to blow up plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1208765' first='Kevin' last='Moore']-St. Anthony's

[player_tooltip player_id='1208765' first='Kevin' last='Moore'], is the top Defensive Back in the state, and is committed to Delaware. Moore has versatility, and can play on both offense and defense, but is better in the secondary. He is also a big threat with kick/punt returns, where he can display his outstanding footwork, and speed. I like him in Zone Coverage, as he reads the QB's eyes, and can track the ball to the receiver and make a play. He has good pursuit, and rarely misses a tackle, or assignment. When watching Moore, I see an outstanding athlete who can be a valuable asset to any team.

Cardell Staples-McKinley

Staples is one of the top Seniors in the state, and has been racking up an impressive final season. The McKinley DB, stands at 6'1" 170-Pounds, and displays a solid build for a Defensive Back. He is another versatile athlete, who can play on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Staples has been electric on special teams this season, and has elite speed for an athlete. As a WR, he has elite vision, and good body control, which allows him to make 50/50 balls seem effortless. Staples is a hard hitter, and displays a good tackling form. In coverage, he specializes in vision, as his eyes always follow the QB. Staples is a steady riser in the state and certainly a guy I'd want on my squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1355506' first='Dahveed' last='Jacob']-Erasmus Hall

Dahveed is an underrated prospect in the Secondary, but I love what I see on the tape. Size wise, he is in good shape, standing at 6'1" 190-Pounds, which is solid for a Defensive Back. He specializes in a Safety/Linebacker Role, and can enter the box on blitz packages. Jacob is a hard hitter, and one of the top enforcers in the state. I love his vision, and he displays an outstanding IQ, and can read the QB, better than he can read himself. He has good footwork, and can move right to left, following plays as they develop.
