This season, we have started a new idea at Prep Redzone called “Power Scores”. “Power Scores” are computer-generated team rankings (not scout-based) that take into account various factors which can be found here. With that being said, I wanted to take a look at where our “Power Scores” currently stand in the state Kentucky in each class and focus on an impact player on each team in the Top 10. After already covering 2A-6A, here are some impact players for the Top 10 teams in 1A in our Week 11 “Power Scores”.

1. Raceland:

The Rams have continued to be one of the best teams in 1A this season, led by the impressive play of junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1200720' first='Landen' last='Stiltner']. Through nine games, Landen leads Raceland in rushing with 93 carries for 999 yards and 18 touchdowns. Stiltner uses his speed to burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency then run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the ability to lower his shoulder and run straight through defenders to break tackles without losing stride. Landen has also caught one touchdown pass this season. Stiltner should be a player for college coaches to pay close attention to over the next two years.

2. Holy Cross (Covington):

The Indians have gotten off to an impressive 9-0 start to the 2025 season. One of the players leading the charge for them this season has been junior [player_tooltip player_id='1988671' first='Charles' last='Oglesby']. Oglesby has led the team in rushing this season, carrying the ball 79 times for 621 yards and 11 touchdowns. Charles is a strong runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning through contact to break tackles and picking up extra yards with ease. He has also shown the speed to break away for long runs once he hits the open field. Oglesby has also made an impact on defense this season, recording 39 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) so far. Charles will be an intriguing player to continue to watch over the next couple years.

3. Middlesboro:

Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1200729' first='Deakon' last='Partin'] has led Middlesboro to an undefeated start to their season, completing 96/142 passes for 1,698 yards, 22 touchdowns, and only two interceptions in eight games. Partin has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He is also impressive under pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Deakon has also scored three rushing touchdowns this season. Partin doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as he has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

4. Campbellsville:

The Eagles have gotten off to a strong start to the 2025 season, led by senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='504243' first='Kace' last='Eastridge']. Through nine games, Eastridge has completed 92/140 passes for 1,323 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. He is an accurate passer, showing the ability to put the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Kace has also shown the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also leads his team in rushing with 84 carries for 697 yards and 12 touchdowns. Eastridge has also played a role on defense this season, accounting for 44 tackles and three tackles for loss. Kace currently holds any offer from Campbellsville and I expect more to come his way throughout his senior year.

5. Kentucky Country Day:

The Bobcats have continued to be one of the stronger teams in 1A this season, led by the play of senior [player_tooltip player_id='1991169' first='Tyler' last='Wilson']. Wilson does a little bit of everything in the KCD offense as he has shown the ability to make an impact both out of the slot and the backfield. He currently leads the team in receiving with 12 catches for 234 yards and six touchdowns in eight games, and has also carried the ball 39 times for 509 yards and seven touchdowns. Wilson is dangerous in the open field as he has the speed to run away from the defense and elusiveness to make defenders miss with ease. Tyler has also played a key role on special teams this season, returning two punts for touchdowns. Wilson currently holds offers from Hanover, Wabash, Georgetown (KY), and Bellarmine, and I expect that list to continue to grow this season.

6. Sayre:

The defending 1A champions are off to another strong start to their season, led by the play of senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='971537' first='Caden' last='Jones']. Jones currently leads the Spartans in rushing with 72 carries for 541 yards and six touchdowns in six games. Caden is a shifty ball carrier, showing the ability to make cuts in the open field to make defenders miss with ease. He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Jones has also caught 12 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns this season, and has made an impact on defense, recording 27 tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception. Caden doesn't currently hold any offers but he deserves some attention from college coaches as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

7. Pikeville:

The Panthers have continued to be one of the top teams in 1A this season. One of the players who has stood out for them this year is junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='415771' first='Jeremiah' last='Anderson']. Anderson lines up at outside linebacker where does a great job defending the run. He reads the play quickly then uses his speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle. Through nine games, Anderson leads the team with 110 tackles along with five tackles for loss. He has also recorded one sack, caught one touchdown pass, and scored one rushing touchdown this season. Jeremiah is a player who college coaches should have on their radar over the next two years.

8. Nicholas County:

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='773246' first='Wyatt' last='Simons'] has continued to lead the Blue Jackets on both sides of the ball this season. On offense, he currently leads the team in rushing with 151 carries for 1,143 yards and 16 touchdowns in eight games. He is a strong downhill runner who has shown the contact balance to break tackles with ease along with the burst of speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. On defense, Simons lines up at linebacker where he is very reliable against the run, leading the team with 50 tackles along with three tackles for loss this season. He has also recorded one sack this year. Wyatt surprisingly doesn't hold any offers but he is a player who should be on the radar of college coaches as he has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level.

9. Paintsville:

Paintsville has proven to be a threat in 1A this season, led by the play of talented junior [player_tooltip player_id='1200728' first='Anderson' last='Lauffer']. Through nine games, Lauffer is his team's leading receiver with 46 catches for 795 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation and to pick up yards after the catch. Anderson has also scored two rushing touchdowns and has made a big impact on special teams, returning two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns so far this season. He has also played a role on defense this year, accounting for 19 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a team-high three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). Lauffer has received some college interest and I expect college coaches to continue to have their eyes on him over the next two years.

10. Williamsburg:

To wrap up our top 10 teams in our 1A Week 11 “Power Score” rankings in the state of Kentucky, I have the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets have been led by the strong play of sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1656719' first='Reece' last='Hatcher'] this season. In seven games, Hatcher has completed 117/187 passes for 1,791 yards, 25 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Reece throws an impressive deep ball, using his strong arm to lead his receivers down the field with ease. He has also shown excellent ball placement this season, putting passes in spots where only his intended receivers can catch them. Hatcher has also carried the ball 39 times for 173 yards this year. Reece should be an intriguing quarterback to watch as he continues to develop over the next few years.
