Week 3 Standouts Who Stole the Show

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. [player_tooltip player_id='1640501' first='Maliek' last='North'] (c/o 2026)   Position: Defensive End School: Tate High Height/Weight: 6'2”, 220 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 14 tackles, 6 TFL, 1 sack, 3 QB hurries   Evaluation: North has been disruptive up front early this season, using his quick first step to create penetration and put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. His ability to shed blocks and close down on plays behind the line of scrimmage is evident with his 6 tackles for loss already. At 6'2” and 220 lbs, he brings a strong frame that will only continue to fill out, making him a tough matchup for offensive tackles. With continued development of his pass-rush arsenal, he projects as a defensive lineman who can consistently impact both run and pass situations.   Gianni Forbes (c/o 2026)   Position: Wide Receiver School: Land O'Lakes High Height/Weight: 5'9”, 150 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 10 receptions for 230 yards and 1 touchdown   Evaluation: Forbes has established himself as a playmaker in the passing game, showing the ability to stretch the field vertically and create separation with speed and quickness. His 23 yards per catch through three games highlights his explosiveness and big-play potential. While undersized at 5'9”, 150 lbs, he plays bigger than his frame with strong body control and reliable hands. As he develops physically, Forbes has the skillset to be a dangerous slot or outside receiver at the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id='1880153' first='Lee' last='Gordon'] Jr. (c/o 2027)   Position: Middle Linebacker School: Lakewood High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 220 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 9 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 blocked punt   Evaluation: Gordon has quickly become a defensive centerpiece for Lakewood. He plays with strength and downhill aggression, attacking gaps and finishing plays with authority. His production — including multiple tackles for loss, sacks, and even a blocked punt — speaks to his versatility and motor. At 6'0”, 220 lbs as just a 2027 prospect, he already has the size and physicality of an upperclassman. Continued growth in coverage recognition will round out his game, but Gordon already profiles as a high-level linebacker prospect with three years left to develop.   Cooper Wiles (c/o 2027)   Position: Athlete School: Aucilla Christian Height/Weight: 5'10”, 180 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 13 carries for 85 yards and 3 TDs, 6 receptions for 198 yards, 36 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 forced fumbles   Evaluation: Wiles has been a true two-way standout, impacting the game on offense, defense, and special teams. He's shown his versatility with touchdowns on the ground, explosive plays as a receiver, and consistent production defensively with 36 tackles. His instincts and toughness shine on both sides of the ball, making him a reliable playmaker wherever he lines up. As just a junior, his ability to influence games in multiple phases is impressive and points to a high ceiling as he develops further physically and technically.   Ja'Michael Miller (c/o 2026)   Position: Defensive End / Edge / Athlete School: Franklin County High Height/Weight: 6'3”, 200 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 8 carries for 61 yards, 18 tackles, 7 TFL, 4 sacks   Evaluation: Miller is a versatile athlete who has been dominant off the edge defensively while also contributing as a runner on offense. His combination of length, quickness, and motor has made him a constant problem for opposing offensive lines, reflected in his 7 tackles for loss and 4 sacks through three weeks. Standing at 6'3” with plenty of room to add weight, he has the frame and athleticism college coaches covet at the edge position. His upside as a pass-rusher is significant, and his athletic versatility only raises his long-term projection.
