Week 2 Recap- Standout Offensive Performances Across the State

What a week!   Today, we're watching some of our Standout Performers on the offensive side of the ball. These prospects dominated this week and have been putting together some impressive seasons- we're all going to have to watch out for them moving forward.   With that being said, make sure you watch their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1629160' first='Elijah' last='Tarver'] is an explosive RB out of Carver who has been a huge factor for his team's rushing attack this season.   "Tarver spent the day at camp competing at RB and really caught my eye- he plays with a ton of speed, has great size, and can easily make defenders miss- it's impressive to watch.   Tarver makes the most out of every carry- he's incredibly quick, plays with great speed, and is a massive threat in the open field, coming away with some huge plays on the ground."   Tarver went off in his team's 35-6 win over JAG last Friday night, racking up 9 carries for 114 yards and one TD on the ground. Tarver was explosive in every sense, carving up JAG's defense all four quarters.   Make sure you check out some of Tarver's film from the week before. He's an emerging RB talent everyone should have on their radar.      [player_tooltip player_id='1670114' first='Jackson' last='Rhodes'] is an up-and-coming QB out of Northside, and man, he's been dominant to open up the year.   "Right off the bat, it's clear Rhodes is a talented passer, especially downfield. He's a quick processor who accurately leads his receivers downfield with great ball placement and touch. I REALLY like his release- he's quick to get the ball out and can put a ton of velocity on tight window throws.   It's hard to tell Rhodes is only a sophomore- he has some sweet plays where he pump fakes, forces DBs to bite, and exploits secondaries for massive gains through the air. With his football IQ and arm talent, he's set up for a huge junior season this fall- just watch."   In a game where Northside shut out Montavello 56-0, Rhodes only played the first half and completed 8/10 passes for 125 yards and 4 TDs. Rhodes was highly efficient and made some really impressive throws all across the field; he's a talented passer everyone should look out for down the stretch. I was really impressed watching McBride throw the deep ball- he places a lot of touch underneath his passes, can throw some impressive hole shots, and perfectly hits his WRs in stride wherever they're located on the field.   Another really impressive part of McBride's game is his mobility- he's quick on his feet and uses his legs to extend and make plays on the ground, consistently finding great yardage and the endzone once he leaves the pocket.“   McBride completed 11/17 passes for 259 yards and 3 TDs, with 5 carries for 79 yards and one TD on the ground.   If you haven't seen McBride play yet, you've gotta check him out. "Dixon is highly athletic. He plays with great speed, vision, and twitch- making the most out of every opportunity with the ball. I'm really impressed with Dixon's skill in the open field. He can easily change his direction/make defenders miss to rack up some huge plays on the ground. We're going to have to watch out for him the rest of this year."   Dixon WENT off in his team's 35-0 shutout over Paul W. Bryant, racking up 4 carries for 204 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.   You've got to watch this clip from Friday, Dixon took a carry 99 yards to the house. I'm really impressed with his game and am excited to keep watching him this season.      [player_tooltip player_id='1544159' first='Jaxson' last='Dixon'] has been on fire this season, putting up another standout performance this past week against Robertsdale.   “Dixon has game-changing speed everywhere he lines up. He can completely flip the field in a moment's notice, and it's not hard to see on tape. Dixon can take short passes to the house and burn defenses over the top for huge gains as well.   Dixon also gains terrific separation in the passing game- he's quick on his feet, runs great routes, and can beat DBs anywhere on the field.“   Dixon came up huge in his team's 27-7 win, racking up 103 receiving yards, 44 rushing yards, one sack, and 2 TDs. Dixon has been unstoppable to start this season, making plays all over the field on both sides of the ball.   Make sure you check out some of Dixon's clips from last week.
