Thomas has been just about everywhere for the Spartans thus far this season and still he shows off as one of the most proficent passers in the state as well. He boosts an over 68% completion percentage on the season while averaging nearly 11 yards per throw with six touchdowns and just one interception thus far. The athleticism that Thomas shows off with his legs in my eyes appears as one of the more mobile quarterbacks in 11AA as the Spartans face a tough test heading to #2 ranked Huron on Friday night.

The sleeper light is on and it comes out for Elkton Lake Benton 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='929918' first='Colt' last='Beck']. Colt has 13 passing touchdowns thus far this season which leads the state overall from those schools that post stats in South Dakota. The rest of his numbers are absurd for the Elks gunslinger, 250/1 passer rating, nearly 21 yards per throw, along with a 13 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio thus far. We got our eyes on the tape from Colt and at the midseason point, he surely is showing off to be a hidden gem in this 2026 class. He shows great balanced touch on his intermediate and deep routes and is elusive throwing from the run on a persistent basis. Surely a Saturday prospect in my eyes out of ELB.

A 2026 quarteback in 11AAA that I feel had a promising junior season and shown even more promise in his senior season is Brandon Valley's [player_tooltip player_id='848854' first='Briggs' last='Knutson']. He is the only one on this list that is yet to throw an interception thus far this season playing and doing that in 11AAA is surely impressive. Briggs shows off a well-versed quick release built for any route and is more damaging with his legs getting out of the pocket than those might expect. He has the deep ball arm strength you want and shows off consistently he knows how to place it with that deep ball precision. Surprisely, just one NAIA offer has taken notice thus far.

Another one of the top-tier stat stuffers at the quarterback position hails from Dakota Wesleyan quarterback commit [player_tooltip player_id='1276033' first='Kaleb' last='Lounsbury']. Kaleb has completed 65.5% of his passes thus far for the Governors along with over 15 yards per completion. Where I have seen the biggest development from Kaleb in his senior season, aligns with the poise he has outside of the pocket. You can tell the clear chemistry that he has with his receiving core based off the game tape that's out there and surely the growth has been evident with his mechanics. Surely a 2026 quarterback that is due for a big bump by next rankings update at the end of the season.
