09/04: Pittsford Outlasts Victor in 2025 Teddi Bowl, 27–17

The 2025 Teddi Bowl at St. John Fisher University delivered again! Pittsford took down Victor with the final score of 27 to 17. The Panthers leaned on their explosive passing attack to seal the win.

One of Pittsford's major contributors was two-way star Dayshawn Preston. He ended the game with 2 INT, a passing TD and took multiple direct snaps in a wildcat formation. Pittsford unleashed their receivers, including young sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1610739' first='Jesse' last='Jablonsky']. This young man had a diving touchdown in the first half and hauled in a second TD in the 3rd quarter. Quarterback Brody Pusateri showcased his dual-threat ability. Pusateri threw for a touchdown, made several off-balance completions, and broke loose for a 34-yard rushing touchdown. To add, TE Jack Thurley did get involved in the short passing game to help open up deeper route concepts.

Flipping to Victor, they put up a major fight in the game led by QB [player_tooltip player_id='1742344' first='Gus' last='Pappajohn']. He connected for an early score to receiver Lucas Lamendola. A major contributor was RB Matthew Langan, who had multiple big gains. WR Kevin Booth also made impactful plays throughout as he showed the dual-threat ability he has. Nevertheless, a big token for a sack was by DE Brody Salotti, who displayed high speed all over the Pittsford OT.

In the end, Pittsford's electric playmaking in the air and defensive takeaways proved to be the difference. This Teddi Bowl victory is a lot of momentum moving forward.

09/05: Brighton Bruins Roll Past Webster Thomas, 30–14

The Brighton Bruins reigned supreme in their 30 to 14 win over Webster Thomas on Friday night. The game all started with a kickoff return for a TD by Justin Media. It was quite the night for [player_tooltip player_id='1213835' first='Matthew' last='Heininger'], who was flying all over the field making tackles. Equally, he was making an impact on the offensive side of the ball with 2 receptions for 53 yards and a TD.

In the trenches, [player_tooltip player_id='1294921' first='Zahmar' last='Tookes'] was dominant, consistently collapsing the pocket on defense while also anchoring the Bruins' offensive line. Thereafter, he showed a tremendous amount of effort, especially when it came to searching for blocks down the field. At the same time, [player_tooltip player_id='1217497' first='Titus' last='Nebbia'] was also a big-time contributor at the LT position. Making impactful pull action blocks to create a lane in the interior gaps. It was an impressive showing for the junior. Brighton's QB, Ethan Bialaszewski completed 6 of 9 attempts for 213 yards and 2 TDs to lead the victory.

For Webster Thomas, RB/LB MJ Wells was a bright spot. He powered through goal-line situations for two touchdowns and added over 50 yards on the ground. The Titans were competitive for much of the first half.

The Bruins are going to be a very tough out for any team to beat this year as they are very physical and bring a lot of passion.
