Recruiting Report (9/3)- AL's Recent Committments and Offers

We're back with a new Recruiting Report!   Today, we're diving into some of the recent recruiting news across the state. These prospects have been on fire this week, so we're diving into the latest surrounding their recruitment.   As always, make sure you watch their film below! You won't want to miss out on this kind of talent.    [player_tooltip player_id='401114' first='Jonah' last='Winston'] is a talented prospect out of Hoover who has been dominant for them so far this season.   “Although listed as an ATH and having some serious talent on defense, Winston truly shines out wide in Hoover's passing attack. Winston is explosive in every sense of the word- he has great speed, can quickly accelerate, and can make defenders miss to carve up huge plays in the secondary.   I'm really impressed by Winston's route running and what he can do after the catch. He gains tons of separation out of his breaks and is a constantly open target for his offense. Wintson really thrives after the catch, finding ways to navigate defenses and make the most out of every reception he brings in.”   A few days back, Winston committed to Florida State!   Winston has been an exciting player to cover these last few years. Make sure you check out some of the film he's put together this season:      [player_tooltip player_id='401102' first='Hezekiah' last='Harris'] is a dominant EDGE/DL out of Mae Jemison who made a big change in his recruitment earlier this week.   “Harris possesses a rare combination of size, athleticism, and pass-rushing skills that have made him an outstanding player on Mae Jemison's defensive front over the last few years. He's a serious force in the trenches who can make impact plays every single snap.   Harris is a dominant pass rusher who can consistently beat OL to generate pressure and take down the quarterback. Harris is just as good against the run- he uses his size to eat up space, can easily shed blocks, and frequently takes down the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage.“   Earlier this week, Harris flipped from Auburn to Tennessee!   Harris has been dominating offensive lines the last few years. Make sure you check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1867084' first='Marcus' last='Arnold'] is a talented WR out of Pelham who's seen his recruitment open up so far this season.   "Arnold is an athletic WR with impressive speed, elusiveness, and field vision that he uses to carve up secondaries across the state. He's quick off the line of scrimmage, is a sharp route runner, and can consistently gain separation and provide his quarterback with a reliable target.   I'm really impressed with how Arnold can create after the catch. He's explosive with the ball in his hands and does a great job finding extra yards no matter where he's located on the field."   A few days back, Arnold picked up his first offer from Georgia State!   Take a look at some of Arnold's junior tape below. He's an up-and-coming talent with a ton of potential over at Pelham.      Corey Barber is an electric WR out of Clay Chalkville who's having a terrific start to his senior season.   “Barber is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and quickness out wide. He flies downfield, gains tons of separation, and constantly finds ways to get open everywhere on the field. Barber is a physical matchup nightmare for DBs- he makes impressive grabs using his size, catch radius, and body control– it's really impressive seeing how he positions himself to haul in passes.   After the catch- good luck stopping Barber, he is a problem and can shake off tackles and create huge plays downfield off of shorter passes.“   Barber, an Ole Miss commit, just picked up another offer from Oklahoma State!   Barber has been on fire this season. Check out some of his game film against Hueytown; he's been unstoppable for Clay Chalkville.      [player_tooltip player_id='408641' first='Micah' last='Fleming'] is a lockdown 2027 DB from Thompson who's continuing to find success on the recruiting trail.   “Fleming is a lockdown corner who excels in coverage- he does a great job tracking opposing QBs' eyes and frequently breaks on routes to jar free/pick off passes. QBs actively avoid Fleming's side of the field; he provides such good coverage that some QBs won't even look his way.   Fleming also plays with incredible instincts and athleticism- he is terrific at identifying and reacting to plays, and has the speed to fly around the entire field and create huge stops regardless of where he lined up pre-snap.”   Fleming picked up two more offers this past week, this time from UConn and FAU!   I've been seriously impressed with Fleming this season. He's broken out as a huge piece of Thompson's secondary.
