One that I think should be scooped up soon is Bellevue West's [player_tooltip player_id='488227' first='Adrian' last='Wilson'], who has been a key player in the secondary for the Thunderbirds. He currently sits second on the team in tackles with 30 to go with his 2 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Adrian passes the eye test immediately as a big-bodied safety at 6'3" and 195 pounds with room to continue adding mass to his frame easily. He fits the mold of the modern hybrid safety who has the athleticism to play in coverage, while also being physical enough to step into the box when needed. He has great range, both when going north-south and moving from sideline to sideline. I was impressed with the aggressiveness he shows both when defending the pass at the catch point and when it's time to lay the wood on a ball carrier.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113969' first='Angelo' last='Walker'], RB - Creighton Prep - 6'0" 195 lbs - (@Angelo_walker22)

The Creighton Prep Jr. Jays have been one of the hottest teams in Class A with a 5-0 record at the midway point of the season. One player who has helped lead the charge is running back [player_tooltip player_id='1113969' first='Angelo' last='Walker'], who has recorded 601 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 115 carries through five games. Watching Angelo's three-week tape, it is clear that he has taken a huge step since last season and has developed into a very well-rounded back. At 6'0" and 195 pounds, he has the muscle and size to hold up when asked to make the tough runs between the tackles. Angelo plays with great contact balance and power in his base, allowing him to fight through would-be tackles. He also has the quick twitch and cut-back ability to make the subtle cuts when bouncing runs to the outside. Once he finds open space, Angelo has the burst/speed to break away from defenses and hit the home run ball. Walker has also flashed good receiving back abilities with seven receptions for 70 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1429557' first='Cohen' last='Skiff'], LB - Norfolk - 6'0" 220 lbs - (@CohenSkiff)

Through five games, the Norfolk Panthers are right in the thick of the playoff race with a 3-2 record, picking up a few key wins along the way. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1429557' first='Cohen' last='Skiff'] has been a big part of their success so far with 51 total tackles (team leader), 2 TFLs, a sack, and two forced fumbles. Cohen projects very well as an inside linebacker, thanks to his ability to quickly diagnose offenses and his effectiveness at fitting the run. He reads his keys very well and has a quick step downhill that helps him fire through his gaps to meet the backs in the hole, limiting big runs. Skiff's lateral mobility was also impressive as he showed he can win to the edge when defending outside runs and can flow from sideline to sideline when asked to fall into coverage. He uses his 6'0", 220-pound frame very well when going for the tackle, with the power to win at the point of contact and secure the stop. Skiff has also contributed 116 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown, and a receiving touchdown on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1815128' first='Cal' last='Kissinger'], WR/ATH - Ashland-Greenwood - 6'2" 180 lbs - (@cal_kissinger)

Few pairs across the state have been as dangerous as Ashland-Greenwood's connection between senior [player_tooltip player_id='1395928' first='Derek' last='Tonjes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1815128' first='Cal' last='Kissinger']. Kissinger has broken out in his senior season with 25 receptions for 526 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging an impressive 21 yards per reception. Cal has become the Bluejays' go-to target on the offense with his bigger 6'2" 180-pound frame that allows him to take advantage of size mismatches and deep-threat abilities that can stress defenses vertically.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114438' first='Jack' last='Ladd'], DL - Millard South - 6'1" 245 lbs - (@JackLadd9425)

It's easy to get lost among the talent-rich Millard South roster, but one player who shouldn't fall off your radar is senior DL [player_tooltip player_id='1114438' first='Jack' last='Ladd']. Jack is a player who I think has the potential to play on either side of the ball, but has been primarily viewed as a defensive prospect... and with good reason. Jack has posted 14 total tackles, 5.5 TFLs, and 2.5 sacks, but the tape tells a story deeper than the statsheet. Jack is a versatile defensive lineman who can play either end or tackle and has found success at both positions. Ladd is very consistent with keeping his pad level low when engaged with blockers, and he has the strength in his base to drive them off the line at will. When playing along the interior, he showed the ability to be a two-gap defender who can stuff inside runs or allow his teammates to spill into the backfield to finish the play. Jack's quickness off the ball and when making initial contact also makes him very effective at generating a push at the line of scrimmage. Great pursuit and closing ability when he sees the ball carrier/QB in the backfield.

Make sure to follow @PRZ_OscarG for more news on Nebraska and Iowa HS recruiting.
